Honest reviews on some of our girls names?

I’m not expecting, but we’d still love some honest feedback. FYI, since some people care, any child of ours would have tri-citizenship: USA, Australia, and [name]France[/name].

[name]Juliette[/name]- Very pretty and classic
[name]Anna[/name]- Also very pretty and classic
[name]Aurelia[/name]- This one is not my taste, I tend to not like “Au” names like [name]Audrey[/name]/[name]Audra[/name] ect
[name]Indira[/name]- This is ok. I don’t like nn [name]Indy[/name], but the “dear” in it appeals to me.
[name]Linnea[/name]- I like this name, very pretty
[name]Leila[/name]- I don’t like [name]Lay[/name]-luh but I love [name]Lee[/name]-luh
[name]Georgiana[/name] nn [name]Gia[/name]- Very pretty, but I like [name]Georgia[/name] even more. I like [name]Gia[/name] or [name]Gigi[/name] as a nn.
[name]Malena[/name] (mah-lay-nah)- Not for me, but I do like [name]Elena[/name] or [name]Marlene[/name], both are similar to this one.

[name]Sabine[/name] is my absolute favorite of the list!

Hey, I know you! [name]Haven[/name]'t seen you around ITNO in a while… Anyway, I don’t like [name]Sabine[/name], but it’s always been at the top of your list so something like [name]Juliette[/name] [name]Sabine[/name] would be gorgeous. [name]Linnea[/name], [name]Aurelia[/name] and [name]Georgiana[/name] are all very nice as well. The rest do nothing for me, sorry.

[name]Hi[/name] neuilly nice to see you around!

[name]Indira[/name] I find this a harsh sounding name but really like [name]India[/name] which has a soft, feminine feel to it

[name]Sabine[/name] - sophisticated.
[name]Juliette[/name] - pretty. like.
[name]Anna[/name] - its ok.
[name]Aurelia[/name] - I prefer [name]Aurora[/name].
[name]Indira[/name] - not a fan.
[name]Linnea[/name] - its ok.
[name]Leila[/name] - its ok.
[name]Georgiana[/name] nn [name]Gia[/name] - love [name]Georgiana[/name]. don’t like [name]Gia[/name]. But its ok.
[name]Malena[/name] - its ok.

I really like [name]Sabine[/name], [name]Juliette[/name], and [name]Georgiana[/name].
I also second indianruby’s suggestion of [name]Juliette[/name] [name]Sabine[/name]. gorgeous!

[name]Sabine[/name] - I’m not a fan of, it sounds negative to me for some reason. Sorry.
[name]Juliette[/name] - [name]Love[/name] it.
[name]Anna[/name] - It’s a nice name, but it’s so “common”, I mean it’s got nothing special to it for me. Perhaps name her something longer, like [name]Anastasia[/name], and then call her [name]Anna[/name] as a nickname?
[name]Aurelia[/name] - I like this one a lot!
[name]Indira[/name] - It sounds too much like [name]India[/name], which I don’t like as a name.
[name]Linnea[/name] - It sounds nice, but I don’t like the look of it. It also reminds me of Phinneaus.
[name]Leila[/name] - Very nice name. I prefer alternate sellings, but I like this one still.
[name]Georgiana[/name] nn [name]Gia[/name] - Normally I don’t like [name]Georgi[/name]- names for girls, but this one is beautiful! You could also call her [name]Gianna[/name] as well. I really like this one.
[name]Malena[/name] - It’s very pretty sounding! I like it a lot, but I feel I should warn you that is has a very unpleasant meaning in the medical world. You never know if she’ll become a doctor, nurse, or anything else related to it.

[name]Sabine[/name] - I think [name]Sabrina[/name] would be better

[name]Juliette[/name] - [name]Just[/name] beautiful, so feminine and lovely

[name]Anna[/name] - Sweet and simple

[name]Aurelia[/name] - just lacks something for me but not a bad choice by any means

[name]Indira[/name] - NMS, seems a little trendy

[name]Linnea[/name] - I like it but not as much as some of your other choices

[name]Leila[/name] - So cute, and love the meaning

[name]Georgiana[/name] nn [name]Gia[/name] - I [name]LOVE[/name] IT, especially with [name]Gia[/name]

[name]Malena[/name] (mah-lay-nah) - I think [name]Milena[/name] is better, and I am not big on the first letters being “[name]Male[/name]” just does not seem nice for a girl

Really love [name]Georgiana[/name], [name]Leila[/name], [name]Juliette[/name] and [name]Anna[/name] (those would make beautiful sisters as well)

[name]Sabine[/name] – I like this one. It has a very nice sound to it,
[name]Juliette[/name] – [name]Love[/name] this one!
[name]Anna[/name] – Seems plain next to the other ones
[name]Aurelia[/name] – Very beautiful
[name]Indira[/name] – I like this one okay too.
[name]Linnea[/name] – nms
[name]Leila[/name] – nms
[name]Georgiana[/name] nn [name]Gia[/name] – I don’t like this at all, sorry
[name]Malena[/name] (mah-lay-nah) – This is very pretty, but i would like the pronunciation Mah-lee-nah better

My favorites are [name]Aurelia[/name] and [name]Juliette[/name]. My second favorites are [name]Sabine[/name] and [name]Indira[/name].

If you’re looking for anything else:

[name]Colette[/name]

[name]Violetta[/name]

[name]Hope[/name] you like any of those!

[name]Sabine[/name] - love! Makes me think of [name]Sabine[/name] Azema and I really like her acting
[name]Juliette[/name] -not big on “ette” names but this one is classy and sweet
[name]Anna[/name] - ok, would like a classic “anne” name better like [name]Anne[/name]-[name]Sophie[/name], [name]Anne[/name]-[name]Laure[/name] or even [name]Ana[/name]ïs and [name]Ana[/name]ëlle
[name]Aurelia[/name] - Aurélie is so much better imo
[name]Indira[/name] - like this name, its on the rise in [name]France[/name] and I dont think you would have issues anywhere
[name]Linnea[/name] - cute
[name]Leila[/name] - not a big fan but it works well and I dont think you would have pronunciation issues
[name]Georgiana[/name] nn [name]Gia[/name] - ok
[name]Malena[/name] (mah-lay-nah) -on the rise in france and would work well anywhere but I prefer [name]Milena[/name], [name]Mil[/name]ène. I think [name]Malena[/name] would look made up/misspelled in the states

[name]Sabine[/name]-I’m not sure how I feel about this one, on one hand it’s appealing and on one hand I feel like it should be [name]Sabrina[/name] (which I don’t love)
[name]Juliette[/name]-Prefer it to [name]Julie[/name]/[name]Julia[/name]
[name]Anna[/name]-A nice name, my favorite “version” of it is [name]Anya[/name] though
[name]Aurelia[/name]-Cute! I like this one.
[name]Indira[/name]-It’s growing on me, at first I wasn’t sure but the more I say it, the more I like it! It’s very sweet!
[name]Linnea[/name]-I’m not sure, this name is so connected to someone I know, it’s hard to disassociate it. It’s not a bad connection though!
[name]Leila[/name]-Cute, but I like other names on your list more!
[name]Georgiana[/name] nn [name]Gia[/name]-[name]Love[/name] this, but I don’t like [name]Gia[/name] as a nickname personally, I prefer [name]Georgie[/name] or even [name]Ana[/name] (could kill two birds with one stone with this name!)
[name]Malena[/name]-not a fan, I don’t really like the way it sounds.

My favorite names in order: [name]Georgiana[/name], [name]Indira[/name], [name]Anna[/name]

[name]Sabine[/name] - nice in theory, but when I say it out loud, it doesn’t do anything for me.
[name]Juliette[/name] - pretty.
[name]Anna[/name] - plain, simple [name]Anna[/name] - but theres nothing wrong with that. It’s still classy and sophisticated.
[name]Aurelia[/name] - love.
[name]Indira[/name] - exotic and spicy, I like it/
[name]Linnea[/name] - [name]LOVE[/name]
[name]Leila[/name] - [name]Lay[/name]-la or lee-la? I like both, though I would pronounce this spelling as lay-la.
[name]Georgiana[/name] nn [name]Gia[/name] - I love -ana names and I like [name]Georgia[/name], but in this case, I prefer [name]Georgia[/name].
[name]Malena[/name] (mah-lay-nah) -I love this. [name]Malena[/name], [name]Melina[/name]…the whole family of them.

[name]Sabine[/name], [name]Indira[/name] and [name]Leila[/name] are my faves from your list. They are all very pretty and classy names although I’m not very fond of [name]Malena[/name], I prefer [name]Helena[/name] (He-[name]LAY[/name]-nuh).

Faves are [name]Sabine[/name], [name]Juliet[/name] (but this spelling), [name]Aurelia[/name] and [name]Linnea[/name].

Thanks for all the warm welcome backs! I didn’t think anyone would remember me on here!

And some responses and thoughts to the posts so far: (thank you berries for so many comments!)

[name]Leila[/name] - We say this like lay-la. Actually he prefers the [name]Layla[/name] spelling, mostly because of the song, but in terms of spelling I tend to win the arguments.

Indianruby - Yeah, I’ve gone back to school for nursing so I pretty much disappeared from the internet for the semester. Yeah, [name]Sabine[/name] & [name]Juliette[/name] have pretty much been our frontrunners. I do quite like [name]Juliette[/name] [name]Sabine[/name], but in actuality I probably wouldn’t combine them in case we had a second daughter. There’s a strong possibility that we would have a [name]Juliette[/name] & a [name]Sabine[/name]. However, tastes do change!

[name]India[/name] - For me this is just a place name so it doesn’t really work for me. I’m not a fan of place names. I love [name]Indira[/name] in part for the sound (and possible nn of [name]Indy[/name]), but also that it has a nice meaning, and has that ‘endear’ sound to it.

[name]Georgiana[/name] nn [name]Gia[/name] - I really like both the full name and the nickname. [name]Gia[/name], however, I think would only be used on occasion. [name]Georgia[/name], again, just feels like a place name to me so I don’t have the same affection for it.

East93 - I have the same worry with [name]Anna[/name]. We will probably never use it as is because it’s so ‘common’ compared to our other names. I do have several other An- names that I like though so we’ll consider those. One of my good friends though has a daughter named [name]Anastasia[/name] so that one is off the list. It’s really pretty though!

Also, I will be a licensed nurse next year and I’m aware of melena. You’re right that it’s one letter off, but I say them so differently that I don’t make the association at all in my head. But it’s something to think on.

Dantea - I liked your suggestion of [name]Colette[/name] so much that I put it in the second section for reviews  One of my best friends is an [name]Antoinette[/name], and my godmother was [name]Bernadette[/name] nn [name]Babette[/name] so those two are out for me. I really like [name]Delphine[/name] but I go back and forth on if I can see it on a child - thoughts? Does it seem like an name that works on any age?

thetxbelle - I actually love [name]Ana[/name]ïs, and was pleasantly surprised that my SO loves it too! My main concern with it is that I often get people telling me that she’ll grow up with people teasing her one how close it is to the word anus? I don’t get it, but it’s brought up a lot. I’ve added it to my second poll though because I want to see if maybe people have changed their opinion on it.

quinntheeskimo - I actually quite like [name]Anya[/name]! Thanks for reminding me of it! I will have to see we my SO thinks.

[name]Sabine[/name] - I’m iffy on this one, to be honest.
[name]Juliette[/name] - I love [name]Juliette[/name], prefer it spelt [name]Juliet[/name] but I still love [name]Juliette[/name] as well.
[name]Anna[/name] - I’ve always loved the name [name]Anna[/name], on one hand, it’s fairly common, but on the other hand, it’s common for a reason!
[name]Aurelia[/name] - [name]LOVE[/name]!
[name]Indira[/name] - … it’s okay. It’s not my style, but it’s nice.
[name]Linnea[/name] - [name]LOVE[/name]!!!
[name]Leila[/name] - I love this name and the meaning is really cool to me. Totally love it!
[name]Georgiana[/name] nn [name]Gia[/name] - I prefer [name]Georgia[/name], but I think [name]Georgiana[/name] is very pretty and a nice alternative to [name]Georgia[/name].
[name]Malena[/name] (mah-lay-nah) - Not sure about this one. I’m not a fan, sorry. And looking at the medical meaning someone else posted just tipped me over the edge on this one.

My favourites are [name]Linnea[/name], [name]Leila[/name], [name]Aurelia[/name] and [name]Anna[/name].

[name]Sabine[/name] - love this! I wrote a story at the beginning of the year about a [name]Sabina[/name] and that story is really close to my heart, so seeing [name]Sabine[/name] reminds me of that. I think [name]Sabine[/name]/[name]Sabina[/name] is adorable, but I slightly prefer [name]Sabina[/name]. I think the nn [name]Bina[/name] is too cute.
[name]Juliette[/name] - really like [name]Juliette[/name], and I love that it’s the French variant. Sometimes it does feel a bit pretentious, and I can’t see [name]Juliet[/name]'s appeal sometimes, but I do really like it. [name]Sabine[/name] and [name]Juliette[/name] would be adorable for sisters, and I think both names work great in all three countries.
[name]Anna[/name] - I like [name]Anna[/name], but it does feel a bit bland to me. I prefer longer variations, like [name]Annabel[/name], [name]Anneliese[/name], [name]Annika[/name], [name]Anastasia[/name], etc.
[name]Aurelia[/name] - love [name]Aurelia[/name]! It’s practically swoonworthy. I do prefer Aurélie, though, and would use any excuse I could to use it! If my child was going to grow up with French citizenship, I would totally use it! I think Aurélie is just perfect.
[name]Indira[/name] - I have a very petty reason for not really liking this, lol… I used to love the TV show Human Target that was canceled recently… and [name]Indira[/name] Varma played [name]Ilsa[/name] on the show… I really didn’t like her, lol, and wished [name]Emmanuelle[/name] Vaugier’s [name]Emma[/name] would have been [name]Chance[/name]'s love interest instead. So when I think of [name]Indira[/name], I can’t help but think if [name]Ilsa[/name], which I don’t really like. There’s really nothing wrong with [name]Indira[/name], though, and I would think it’d be a lovely, refreshing way to get the nn [name]Indie[/name] instead of the trendier/more masculine [name]Indiana[/name]/[name]Indigo[/name].
[name]Linnea[/name] - stunning. I probably wouldn’t use it, but I love it, and I love that it’s a flower name.
[name]Leila[/name] - [name]Love[/name] this a lot. [name]Leila[/name]'s on my top 20. I doubt I would use it, but I would smile very much if I ever met a little [name]Leila[/name]! I like this so much more than the [name]Layla[/name] and [name]Laila[/name] spellings.
[name]Georgiana[/name] nn [name]Gia[/name] - [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Georgiana[/name], but I prefer the nns [name]Georgie[/name] and [name]Gigi[/name], personally. Or even [name]Annie[/name].
[name]Malena[/name] (mah-lay-nah) - I really like this, but I vastly prefer [name]Milena[/name] (mih-[name]LAY[/name]-nah). Either is lovely, though.

My favorites would be [name]Aurelia[/name], [name]Georgiana[/name], [name]Leila[/name], [name]Sabine[/name], [name]Juliette[/name], and [name]Milena[/name]/[name]Malena[/name]… you have a ton of great options, though!

[name]Malayna[/name] is the only one of those names I kind -of like. The rest I think are too plain, oldlady and common.

I like [name]Linnea[/name], [name]Leila[/name], [name]Sabine[/name], and [name]Aurelia[/name]. Have you thought about [name]Cybele[/name] and/or [name]Noemie[/name]? I don’t much care for [name]Juliette[/name], preferring [name]Julia[/name]. I do like [name]Anna[/name] and [name]Anya[/name].

[name]Sabine[/name]: I love everything about this name!
[name]Juliette[/name]: I’m cautiously neutral about this one. It seems great but something I don’t like…I don’t know.
[name]Anna[/name]: Nice but very plain!
[name]Aurelia[/name]: [name]Love[/name] this one as well!
[name]Indira[/name]: You’re right on the ball for names I love  [name]Indira[/name] is great
[name]Linnea[/name]: I like it, but less than your other names.
[name]Leila[/name]: [name]Love[/name] as well!
[name]Georgiana[/name]: It’s alright but pales in comparison with the rest of your names.
[name]Malena[/name]: I want to like it but…I kind of don’t.
