Honest thoughts and impressions of Ginevra?

I really like [name_f]Ginevra[/name_f], but I’ve read a lot of comments on here and other naming sites that it sounds ugly/harsh. However, a lot of these comments were from 5 or 6 years ago, so i wanted to get current thoughts as I feel naming practices have progressed slightly from then.

So I’m looking for initial thoughts, positive and negative, impressions on the name, thoughts on what a [name_f]Ginevra[/name_f] would be like etc etc.
[name_m]Harry[/name_m] [name_m]Potter[/name_m] association does not bother us, and the chosen nn would be [name_f]Gigi[/name_f] or just Gi rather than [name_f]Ginny[/name_f].

I love [name_f]Ginevra[/name_f], almost as much as Geneviève. I think it’s gorgeous and gives off a strong mediæval impression, much like your other girl names. And the nickname selection is amazing! It’ a winner.

[name_f]Ginevra[/name_f] is a wonderful name-- classic but not common. While it likely doesn’t appeal to everyone, I find it a refreshing alternative to [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f], [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f], or [name_f]Virginia[/name_f].
