[name_f]Valencia[/name_f]: 6/10. A fine name with a nice meaning and a very elegant, regal sound. The only worry is how well the name would transition to the “real world.” Chances are that she won’t go by [name_f]Valencia[/name_f], and [name_u]Val[/name_u], although a sweet nickname, just isn’t close to the charm of [name_f]Valencia[/name_f]. [name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_f]Valentina[/name_f]? [name_u]Vale[/name_u]? [name_f]Velma[/name_f]?
[name_f]Milena[/name_f]: 9/10. This name is perfect, the only thing stopping it from being a 10 is that I know a [name_f]Milena[/name_f] who decided to go by [name_f]Miley[/name_f] (why?!). [name_f]Milena[/name_f] is exotic, sweet, sassy, and feminine all at the same time. I love the meaning, and, in many Slavic languages, it’s a sweet pet-name for the favorite child. I wouldn’t nickname her! It would be a shame to cut down such a gorgeous name.
[name_f]Helena[/name_f]: 4/10. I really don’t like the name [name_f]Helena[/name_f], most because of the “Hell” syllable. Plus, I knew a [name_f]Helena[/name_f] growing up and she was such a horrible person. [name_f]Lena[/name_f], while a cute nickname, is one of those that can be applied to other names ([name_f]Alena[/name_f], [name_f]Lenora[/name_f], [name_f]Lavinia[/name_f], [name_f]Elnora[/name_f]) that are so much prettier than [name_f]Helena[/name_f].
[name_u]Artemis[/name_u]: 1/10. This is NOT usable, no matter what Greek-name enthusiasts tell you. If you like Greek names and the goddesses, consider [name_f]Athena[/name_f], [name_f]Lamia[/name_f] & Epona. [name_f]Hera[/name_f], even! Something more translatable to “the real world.”
[name_f]Nell[/name_f]: 2/10. I agree with you. Although it’s very cutesy, it’s not really a full name in my opinion. Spice it up a bit to something like [name_f]Arnella[/name_f], [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] or Antonela.
Firenze: 1/10. I don’t know how to pronounce it, and even if I did, I don’t think I’d like it. It looks like a “Kr8tyv” spelling and I really don’t like it. [name_f]Florence[/name_f]? Cute. [name_f]Fleur[/name_f]? Cute. [name_f]Fenella[/name_f]? Cute. Firenze? Nope.
[name_f]Violetta[/name_f]: 3/10. Eh. I don’t like it, it looks a bit too much and it’s a bit too “girly and frilly” for me. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you like [name_f]Aletta[/name_f], or even [name_f]Henrietta[/name_f]? [name_m]Both[/name_m] names that would score higher on my scale.
[name_m]Alfred[/name_m]: 7/10. I love this name There’s something very classic and beautiful about it, and it’s very sweet while at the same time retaining its manly qualities. It’s a name that ages well, which is always a plus. [name_m]Don[/name_m]'t listen to that whole “it’s old” talk. That’s what makes a name classic and special. I’d call him “[name_u]Freddie[/name_u].”
[name_u]Constantine[/name_u]: 2/10. This name is just a big mess and it’s way too much to bestow on a child. There’s nothing about this name that appeals to me.
Luan: 2/10. This sounds like a girl’s name. Honestly, if you want to name your child something that means lion, you’ve got so many choices. [name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_m]Leo[/name_m], [name_m]Leon[/name_m], or [name_m]Lion[/name_m]? If you want something less “obvious,” consider Aslan & [name_m]Hamza[/name_m]. If you like the sound of Luan, then try [name_m]Llewellyn[/name_m].
[name_m]Augustus[/name_m]: 2/10. Again, it’s way too much for a little guy to carry around. Why not [name_u]August[/name_u]?
[name_m]Victor[/name_m]: 1/10. I really don’t see the appeal to this name. It’s harsh, dated and worn-out. Yes, it might have a strong meaning, but so does [name_m]Valor[/name_m]. Why not choose that instead?
Arben: 7/10. This is the first time I’ve heard this name, and I like it. It’s quite nice, actually.
[name_m]Milo[/name_m]: 6/10. I like [name_m]Milo[/name_m], I think it’s a cute name. That said, there’s not much that’s special about it.
If I had two girls, they’d be [name_f]Milena[/name_f] & [name_f]Valencia[/name_f] ([name_f]Milena[/name_f] & [name_f]Ally[/name_f]). Two boys would be [name_m]Alfred[/name_m] & Arben ([name_u]Freddie[/name_u] & Arben). One of each would be [name_f]Milena[/name_f] & Arben.
