Is this name a little too “out there” to use and should I tone it down a bit??
[name_f]Leda[/name_f] [name_f]Oceane[/name_f]
Here’s why I like it:
[name_f]Leda[/name_f] is relatively rare but it sounds familiar. It’s easy to spell and easy to say. [name_u]Lee[/name_u]-duh. (I’m also thinking of [name_f]Leta[/name_f] because it sounds the same but doesn’t have any of the kind of negative swan connections [name_f]Leda[/name_f] carries.)
[name_f]Oceane[/name_f] Firstly, I just love the way this name is pronounced. Oh-[name_m]Say[/name_m]-ahn <33 It’s really not used at all where I live, although it is very popular in France & parts of Canada. So it’s not like she’d be 1 of only 5 people with that name in the whole world. Plus I love the beach and the ocean is basically one of my most favorite places in the world. I go there quite often.
Anyways, what are your thoughts? The last name would start with a W btw, and I’m aware the initials would be L.O.W… not too sure how I feel about that yet. haha.
I think [name_f]Leda[/name_f] [name_f]Oceane[/name_f] is a pretty combo. I do like [name_f]Leda[/name_f] better than [name_f]Leta[/name_f]. It’s an unusual pairing but since it means a lot to you then I would encourage you to boldly go where few people have gone before in your neighbourhood.
I think [name_f]Leda[/name_f] [name_f]Oceane[/name_f] is perfect. All things negative about [name_f]Leda[/name_f] will go away when your daughter is associated with it. [name_f]Leta[/name_f] is cute but, I like [name_f]Leda[/name_f] better.
I would pronounce [name_f]Leda[/name_f] as lay-duh just because I have heard it pronounced that way before… But lee-duh is nice, too. I really like [name_f]Leda[/name_f] [name_f]Oceane[/name_f].
