We are expecting our first in a few months, and are having trouble finding a middle name option for favorite classic [name_m]William[/name_m]. We have a very english sounding last name and I would prefer something a little more wild in the middle to make it interesting. What are your thoughts on [name_f]Nova[/name_f] as a middle name option? [name_u]Unique[/name_u] nature names as well as Scandinavian options are being considered too, due to my background.
WDYT of [name_m]William[/name_m] [name_f]Nova[/name_f]?
I love [name_m]William[/name_m] [name_f]Nova[/name_f]! Although I’ve only seen it considered for a girl, to me it is a nature name and perfect in the middle spot, for either gender.
@fearlessfirefly, thank you for your input. Unfortunately the combination of [name_m]William[/name_m] [name_u]Noah[/name_u] seems a bit too bland for my taste. Thanks for replying though!
@scater thank you! I know of a little boy named [name_f]Nova[/name_f], so for me it has always been unisex as well.
@greyblue your suggestions understand my vibe! I will enjoy running these by DH later today. Thank you for your feedback!
I know a [name_f]Nova[/name_f], so it’s all girl to me, sorry! Too feminine for my taste, but [name_m]William[/name_m] [name_f]Nova[/name_f] does flow really well.
I’ve only heard of [name_f]Nova[/name_f] used for a girl, but now that I’m thinking about it, I have no idea why it has to be thought of as a feminine name! Super cool sound and meaning plus is goes great with [name_m]William[/name_m]. [name_m]William[/name_m] [name_f]Nova[/name_f] is a wonderful name!
[name_m]William[/name_m] is a rather unassuming name that [name_f]Nova[/name_f] takes to a completely different level. I’m not generally a fan of [name_m]William[/name_m] but this is the kind of combo that could change my mind. It’s great!
I think [name_m]William[/name_m] [name_f]Nova[/name_f] looks and sounds great. [name_f]Nova[/name_f] definitely does what you desire it to do, really lifting [name_m]William[/name_m] up and creating a lot more interest and spunk to what would otherwise be a very common, traditional classic.
[name_f]Nova[/name_f] is a girl’s name. Maybe [name_u]Noah[/name_u] instead? It has a very similar sound. But I’m sorry, [name_f]Nova[/name_f] is a girl’s name. It’s not fair on the child.
I really like [name_m]William[/name_m] [name_f]Nova[/name_f]! One of my coworkers has a grandson named [name_f]Nova[/name_f], so it is definitely unisex to me.
