Honest (without being hurtful?) Opinions?

First of all, is there a way to be honest about something without being full on ‘that is the ugliest effing thing I’ve ever heard/seen in my life’? If there is, that would be the most beneficial to me! (Yes, I have had people say that to me, over not so weird names :S)

Secondly, I’m trying to narrow down my lists, because the one I have for girls, was well over 100 names, and the list for boys was over 60. I’ve slowly gotten it down lower, but it still needs work. I’ve taken my 15 favourites for each gender, and would love to know your honest opinions. Hopefully this will help me narrow it down further.

[name_m]Adam[/name_m]- A good, classic name. I’ve known many wonderful [name_m]Adams[/name_m]. Not overly popular, which is good.
[name_m]Andrew[/name_m]- Another fine name. I’m not a big fan of [name_u]Andy[/name_u], but [name_u]Drew[/name_u] seems to be the most intuitive nn these days.
[name_m]Bennett[/name_m]- Not my favorite [name_m]Ben[/name_m]- name, but it does have a respectable sound.
[name_m]Callum[/name_m]- I go back and forth on this name. I can’t decide if I like the sound.
[name_m]Christopher[/name_m]- So classic. I really like this name.
[name_m]Connor[/name_m]/[name_m]Conor[/name_m]- It reminds me of an incorrect way of calling someone a “con”. They’re a [name_u]Con[/name_u]-ner.
[name_u]Elliott[/name_u]- I entertained this for a while, but I have negative associations. It’s not a bad name, though.
[name_m]Harrison[/name_m]- I quite like this.
[name_u]Hayden[/name_u]- This name feels childish to me. It’s hard for me to imagine adult Haydens.
[name_m]Henry[/name_m]- As classic as you can get.
[name_m]Joel[/name_m]- I like this name, but some southerners pronounce it a little strange (where I’m from)
[name_m]Joseph[/name_m]- Nice enough. You have lots of classic names!
[name_m]Lewis[/name_m]/[name_m]Louis[/name_m]- I prefer [name_m]Louis[/name_m] and the [name_m]Louie[/name_m] pronunciation, but either are fine.
[name_m]Michael[/name_m]- Another biblical classic.
[name_u]Toby[/name_u]- Much prefer [name_m]Tobias[/name_m]. [name_u]Toby[/name_u] feels childish, to me.

[name_f]Agatha[/name_f]- I don’t like it as much as I used to because everyone I mention it to says “Hagatha”.
[name_f]Augusta[/name_f]- Beautiful and underused! I love this one.
[name_f]Blythe[/name_f]- Fun and playful. This is on my own list. [name_f]One[/name_f] of my favorites.
[name_f]Cecilia[/name_f]- I like [name_f]Celia[/name_f], but not [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f]. Seems too difficult to say.
[name_f]Clementine[/name_f]- Another fun and playful name. I like this.
[name_f]Delphine[/name_f]- An unusual choice, but I think it works.
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]- Classic and lovely
[name_f]Florence[/name_f]- Another favorite of mine
[name_f]Iris[/name_f]- Your list just keeps getting better!
[name_f]Margaret[/name_f]- Beautiful and classic. I prefer [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] to any of her nicknames.
[name_f]Martha[/name_f]- I liked this until I read The Handmaids Tale
[name_f]Millicent[/name_f]- I always hear “militant”. [name_f]Millie[/name_f] is cute nickname though.
[name_f]Morwenna[/name_f]- I tried to sell this to my husband. I like it a lot.
[name_f]Ottilie[/name_f]- [name_f]One[/name_f] of those rare beauties.
[name_f]Rosamond[/name_f]- Prefer [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] or [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f], but this is nice.

[name_f]Ophelia[/name_f]- I really dislike the sound of this one.
[name_f]Sophia[/name_f]- Classic, but a bit overused at the moment.
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]- I dislike the “harlot” sound.
[name_f]Olive[/name_f]- Cute, but doesn’t seem to fit your list as well as most of your other choices.

[name_u]Mason[/name_u]- I feel like this is a trendier choice.
[name_m]Jack[/name_m]- As overused as [name_m]Jack[/name_m] is, it’s just such a nice, practical name!
[name_m]Landon[/name_m]- Another one with a trendier feel. I prefer your classics.
[name_m]Lawson[/name_m]- [name_u]Lawrence[/name_u] would be better.

aw thank you! [name_f]Millicent[/name_f] would definitely become [name_f]Millie[/name_f]! [name_f]Florence[/name_f] would likely become [name_f]Flora[/name_f], but not sure for that one yet! I love your suggestion of [name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] though! So nice!

I’m liking many names on your list so it’s going to be a challenge to whittle it down. I’ll attempt to get it down to a top five list.

Boys:

[name_m]Adam[/name_m] - A Biblical classic. I don’t hear too many [name_m]Adams[/name_m] running around.
[name_m]Andrew[/name_m] - a classic but kind of bland
[name_m]Bennett[/name_m] - a medieval version of [name_m]Benedict[/name_m]
[name_m]Callum[/name_m] - getting popular. It’s ok but I’m hearing it a lot.
[name_m]Christopher[/name_m] - better in the middle spot
[name_m]Connor[/name_m]/[name_m]Conor[/name_m] - I have a negative association with this name so it’s not a fave of mine
[name_u]Elliott[/name_u] - There’s nothing wrong with this name but I’ve just haven’t warmed to it.
[name_m]Harrison[/name_m] - one of the more distinguished “surnames as first names” choice
[name_u]Hayden[/name_u] - trendy
[name_m]Henry[/name_m] - It took me awhile to see its charm.
[name_m]Joel[/name_m] - I prefer [name_m]Joseph[/name_m] but this is ok
[name_m]Joseph[/name_m] - a Biblical gem
[name_m]Lewis[/name_m]/[name_m]Louis[/name_m] - I prefer the [name_m]French[/name_m] spelling and pronunciation ([name_m]Louis[/name_m]-“loo-ee”)
[name_m]Michael[/name_m] - overused forever. I find it boring.
[name_u]Toby[/name_u] - I think this is a cute nn but only for a [name_m]Tobias[/name_m]. I don’t think it ages well.

Top Five

[name_m]Louis[/name_m]
[name_m]Adam[/name_m]
[name_m]Bennett[/name_m]
[name_m]Henry[/name_m]
[name_m]Joseph[/name_m]

Girls:

[name_f]Agatha[/name_f] - an unappreciated vintage name with a great literary pedigree.
[name_f]Augusta[/name_f] - strong and forceful
[name_f]Blythe[/name_f] - better in the middle spot, [name_f]Augusta[/name_f] [name_f]Blythe[/name_f] would be gorgeous!
[name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] - I prefer [name_f]Cecily[/name_f]. This is too frilly for my taste. [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] [name_f]Blythe[/name_f] is pretty!
[name_f]Clementine[/name_f] - sweet and sassy
[name_f]Delphine[/name_f] - chic and [name_m]French[/name_m]. If I had to pick between the “ine” names, [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] would win by a hair!
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]- Majestic beauty
[name_f]Florence[/name_f] - I don’t like place names but this one has a lot of vintage charm.
[name_f]Iris[/name_f] - [name_f]One[/name_f] of my favourite flower names.
[name_f]Margaret[/name_f] - An underused classic with loads of nickname options. I also love the [name_m]French[/name_m] version, [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f].
[name_f]Martha[/name_f] - kind of clunky so it would go with a sister named [name_f]Olive[/name_f].
[name_f]Millicent[/name_f] - one of my favourite vintage names. I love the way it blends million and innocent.
[name_f]Morwenna[/name_f] - I like this name but not enough.
[name_f]Ottilie[/name_f] - Pretty. I also like [name_f]Odilia[/name_f] and [name_f]Odile[/name_f].
[name_f]Rosamond[/name_f] - I love this name but I do prefer the “u” spelling - [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f].

And the Honourable Mentions list;

[name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] - better in the middle spot due to the pronunciation “O-feel-ya”
[name_f]Sophia[/name_f] - I prefer the [name_m]French[/name_m] version [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] - it’s much friendlier and down-to-earth. [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] is really overused.
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] - elegant and ladylike.
[name_f]Olive[/name_f] - clunky

Top Five

[name_f]Agatha[/name_f]
[name_f]Augusta[/name_f]
[name_f]Iris[/name_f]
[name_f]Millicent[/name_f]
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]

[name_u]Mason[/name_u] - nearly 19,000 boys were given this name in one year. Kardashian overkill?
[name_m]Jack[/name_m] - popular but I love it!
[name_m]Landon[/name_m] - OK but very trendy
[name_m]Lawson[/name_m] - a road near where I live and someone I know named their dog [name_m]Lawson[/name_m] so it doesn’t appeal to me.

Thank you! That was my concern with [name_u]Mason[/name_u], haha, I love it, but I think those (less than) charming Kardashians ruined that (as well as [name_f]Penelope[/name_f]) for me.

Sure thing! Keep in mind that a name will sound better or worse depending on how it flows with your last name, which we’re unaware of.

[name_m]Adam[/name_m]- I like but I feel like it is becoming too popular. I wouldn’t chose this for myself or my kids but wouldn’t cringe at it either. It’s just average.
[name_m]Andrew[/name_m]- same as adam
[name_m]Bennett[/name_m]- think that this one is super cute!
[name_m]Callum[/name_m]- another cute name! I could see this on somebody of any age, similar to [name_m]Bennett[/name_m]. I like that it’s not overused but it’s familiar.
[name_m]Christopher[/name_m]- same as [name_m]Adam[/name_m]/andrew. and I just broke up with a chris, so i sort of hate this name now. funny how exes do that!
[name_m]Connor[/name_m]/[name_m]Conor[/name_m]- Please, for the love of god, do not spell it [name_m]Conor[/name_m]. Stick with the legit spelling, which is cuter and an awesome name.
[name_u]Elliott[/name_u]- This is a family name for me and I want to use it one day, so I love it. I think it’s also charming yet not overused.
[name_m]Harrison[/name_m]- I like this name but prefer [name_m]Harris[/name_m]. A solid choice if not paired with a long last name.
[name_u]Hayden[/name_u]- I can’t stand this name. I feel like it only works on a baby, and is too similar to [name_u]Jayden[/name_u], [name_m]Braden[/name_m], [name_u]Kayden[/name_u], etc. Sounds lower class to me.
[name_m]Henry[/name_m]- a cute classic! never gets old and works well. [name_f]Love[/name_f] hank as a nickname.
[name_m]Joel[/name_m]- I definatly like this name but it isn’t my favorite. Good with a long last name.
[name_m]Joseph[/name_m]- see [name_m]Adam[/name_m], etc.
[name_m]Lewis[/name_m]/[name_m]Louis[/name_m]- I personally prefer the [name_m]Louis[/name_m] spelling but I don’t think that you can go wrong either way since both are legitimate. I love this name!
[name_m]Michael[/name_m]- classic!
[name_u]Toby[/name_u]- for some reason I can’t stand this name. Not sure why, it’s just a personal dislike. That being said, I respect the name and think it’s a solid choice for other people, it’s not like [name_u]Jayden[/name_u] or anything.

[name_f]Agatha[/name_f]- I love the antique feel of this name! Know one nicknamed [name_f]Aggie[/name_f]
[name_f]Augusta[/name_f]- I think that this is a nice name as well.
[name_f]Blythe[/name_f]- Strikes me as a little too dreadlock hippie of a name. I couldn’t take a blythe seriously in a buisness meeting.
[name_f]Cecilia[/name_f]- love this one. Sounds bubbly and old fashioned, yet I would find it cute on a baby and as a solid choice for an adult.
[name_f]Clementine[/name_f]- Cute on a baby, but I wouldn’t take it seriously in a meeting. A little too cutesy out of the nursery. Good name for a cat!
[name_f]Delphine[/name_f]- I’m not too familiar with this name so it strikes me as having an exotic pedigree.
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]- [name_f]Love[/name_f] this name! I think it is classic yet underused. nn: [name_f]Elle[/name_f], [name_f]Ellie[/name_f], [name_u]Norrie[/name_u], [name_f]Nora[/name_f]
[name_f]Florence[/name_f]- obsessed with this name. Cute on a baby “ren” or even without the nickname, but serious enough for corperate life. love the assocaition with florence and the machine!
[name_f]Iris[/name_f]- like this name, dont love it.
[name_f]Margaret[/name_f]- I think its pretty but i’m not crazy about [name_f]Maggie[/name_f]. Good timeless classic though.
[name_f]Martha[/name_f]- a little bit masculine sounding for me but I still like it.
[name_f]Millicent[/name_f]- don’t love it but don’t hate it either. I wouldn’t want to be named [name_f]Millicent[/name_f]. I do love the nickname [name_f]Millie[/name_f] though!
[name_f]Morwenna[/name_f]- no. sounds fake to me. I know it probably isn’t but it still sounds made up.
[name_f]Ottilie[/name_f]- cute, but pronounciation might be an issue. Doesn’t sound professional.
[name_f]Rosamond[/name_f]- I’m assuming you would use rose since it sounds too clunky, but it depends on your surname. do you ponounce roz (rhymes with oz) a mund or rose a mond?

[name_f]Ophelia[/name_f]- Like this better than [name_f]Ottilie[/name_f].
[name_f]Sophia[/name_f]- I like this but it’s too popular, your kid would be known as [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] K. or [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] S. or whatever.
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]- love this. sounds french and classic
[name_f]Olive[/name_f]- I think this is a good choice too but am worried that it’s a trendy name.

[name_u]Mason[/name_u]- I love occupational names, but this is too popular. Shucks!
[name_m]Jack[/name_m]- I like this but would rather a [name_m]John[/name_m] nn [name_m]Jack[/name_m]
[name_m]Landon[/name_m]- cool name. solid choice. [name_m]Don[/name_m]'t love or hate.
[name_m]Lawson[/name_m]- same as [name_m]Landon[/name_m]. I like it a little better.

Girl favorites from your list- [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f], [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], and [name_f]Florence[/name_f].

Boy favorites- [name_m]Bennett[/name_m], [name_m]Callum[/name_m], [name_u]Elliott[/name_u], and [name_m]Harrison[/name_m].

Boys:

[name_m]Adam[/name_m] - This is OK. It’s classic but not exciting for me.
[name_m]Andrew[/name_m] - I prefer Andras. I don’t mind the full name [name_m]Andrew[/name_m], or if you use nn [name_u]Andy[/name_u], but I HATE the name [name_u]Drew[/name_u].
[name_m]Bennett[/name_m] - I prefer [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m], but I don’t have anything negative to say about [name_m]Bennett[/name_m].
[name_m]Callum[/name_m] - [name_m]Callum[/name_m] is so underused! I really like it if you want to roll with the Irish name trend.
[name_m]Christopher[/name_m] - I prefer just [name_m]Topher[/name_m].
[name_m]Connor[/name_m]/[name_m]Conor[/name_m] - This is one of my favourite boy names. Would also love to see it on a girl.
[name_u]Elliott[/name_u] - Very cute. I think of E.T. and childhoods with adventure & exploration.
[name_m]Harrison[/name_m] - I really like [name_m]Harrison[/name_m]. I don’t know anyone named [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] so I think people might be overestimating its popularity.
[name_u]Hayden[/name_u] - I don’t see the appeal.
[name_m]Henry[/name_m] - I prefer [name_m]Henrik[/name_m]. [name_m]Henry[/name_m] sounds too stuffy & british.
[name_m]Joel[/name_m] - [name_f]One[/name_f] of my favourite biblical names.
[name_m]Joseph[/name_m] - I don’t like nn [name_m]Joe[/name_m] at all, so this name doesn’t do it for me.
[name_m]Lewis[/name_m]/[name_m]Louis[/name_m] - I dislike this but I can’t justify why.
[name_m]Michael[/name_m] - This is my brother’s name. I love how well it works for every age & the myriad of nicknames.
[name_u]Toby[/name_u] - Prefer [name_m]Tobias[/name_m] nn [name_u]Toby[/name_u] - [name_u]Toby[/name_u] sounds kiddish.

Girls:

[name_f]Agatha[/name_f] - Prefer [name_f]Agata[/name_f], but both strike me as old ladyish. I like nickname [name_f]Aggie[/name_f]
[name_f]Augusta[/name_f] - I don’t dislike it but it wouldn’t make it onto my list.
[name_f]Blythe[/name_f] - This name to me sounds like a bodily function or something, I don’t like it.
[name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] - I like this one.
[name_f]Clementine[/name_f] - I don’t like nn [name_u]Clem[/name_u] but [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] is OK.
[name_f]Delphine[/name_f] - I prefer [name_f]Daphne[/name_f]. Not a huge fan of [name_f]Delphine[/name_f].
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] - I love [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], it is feminine and powerful (I envision [name_f]Anjelica[/name_f] [name_m]Huston[/name_m]).
[name_f]Florence[/name_f] - Oh I really don’t like this. I think of “[name_f]Flo[/name_f]” and menstruation.
[name_f]Iris[/name_f] - I feel like this is going to jump up and get quite popular. I don’t mind it but I don’t love it either.
[name_f]Margaret[/name_f] - I don’t mind this with nn [name_f]Maggie[/name_f].
[name_f]Martha[/name_f] - I prefer [name_f]Marta[/name_f] because its a little more fun & exotic. [name_f]Martha[/name_f] sounds old to me.
[name_f]Millicent[/name_f] - I think Millifiscent(sp?), the evil witch in Sleeping Beauty.
[name_f]Morwenna[/name_f] - I like this! Probably my favourite from your girls’ list.
[name_f]Ottilie[/name_f] - I don’t think this is realistic and usable.
[name_f]Rosamond[/name_f] - Prefer most other [name_f]Rose[/name_f]/[name_f]Rosa[/name_f] names, [name_f]Rosamond[/name_f] sounds stuffy & halted.

And the Honourable Mentions list;

[name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] - [name_f]LOVE[/name_f].
[name_f]Sophia[/name_f] - Too popular (for a reason, because its so pretty)
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] - I don’t mind it but its not mind blowing.
[name_f]Olive[/name_f] - I adore [name_f]Olive[/name_f] (much cuter than [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] or [name_f]Liv[/name_f]).

[name_u]Mason[/name_u] - Prefer [name_m]Jason[/name_m].
[name_m]Jack[/name_m] - [name_m]Way[/name_m] too popular.
[name_m]Landon[/name_m] - [name_m]Just[/name_m] OK.
[name_m]Lawson[/name_m] - [name_m]Don[/name_m]'t like.

I like…

Your other ones are not bad, but not my style.

Wow! You have some really great names on your lists. I am going to give you my Top 5 from each gender and then tell you which honorable mentions I really adore.

Boys

  1. [name_m]Callum[/name_m] - I think this name is handsome and masculine sounding. [name_m]How[/name_m] do you plan on pronouncing it? Many people have told me it’s [name_f]Cay[/name_f]-lum, but I have been told that it’s also pronounced Call-um, which I prefer.
  2. [name_m]Joseph[/name_m] - I know this name is popular, not trendy, but popular. I can’t help but love the classic-ness of it. Plus [name_u]Joey[/name_u] is a pretty cool nickname.
  3. [name_m]Connor[/name_m] - This name just seems so happy to me, every [name_m]Connor[/name_m] I have ever known has been a real sweetheart.
  4. [name_m]Joel[/name_m] - This not as often used Biblical name is great. I think it’s easy to say, easy to spell and has something special about it.
  5. [name_m]Adam[/name_m] - Classic and handsome.

Honorable Mention Names - I really love - [name_m]Jack[/name_m] and [name_m]Lawson[/name_m]. [name_m]Jack[/name_m] is cute for a little boy, a young man, or a Grandpa; it really ages well. [name_m]Lawson[/name_m] is handsome sounding and different. While it is familiar, it isn’t necessarily widely used.

Girls

  1. [name_f]Iris[/name_f] - This is currently in my top list as well. [name_f]Iris[/name_f], it just says a certain special something about it. Reminds me of springtime. Plus the meaning is rainbow, so I think of colors and happiness.
  2. [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] - This name has been growing on me more and more lately. It must be the charm of a classic, tried and true name. I also love the nn option of [name_f]Maggie[/name_f]!
  3. [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] - While the meaning of this name, “blind”, isn’t the best meaning, this name is truly stunning. [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f], I think classic elegance.
  4. [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] - [name_f]Love[/name_f] [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]! Unfortunately my DH vetoed it, but it is beautiful and has nn potential if you want your child to have a nn.
  5. [name_f]Rosamond[/name_f] - I really like [name_f]Rosamond[/name_f], it’s a beautiful [name_f]Rose[/name_f] name, I slightly prefer [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f], but I think [name_f]Rosamond[/name_f] is a classic name that is vastly underused.

Honorable Mention Girl Name - I have always found [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] to be a beautiful name.

[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps!

I love [name_m]Callum[/name_m], [name_m]Bennett[/name_m] and [name_m]Lawson[/name_m]! For your girls I like [name_f]Olive[/name_f] and [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f]. Everything else is still very usable though!

[name_f]Morwenna[/name_f]: This is a tad out there for my taste.
[name_f]Ottilie[/name_f]: When I say this name, it sounds weird. It’s interesting, but a little bit out there.
[name_f]Rosamond[/name_f]: I like this, but more as a MN than a FN.

And the Honourable Mentions list;

[name_f]Ophelia[/name_f]: It’s okay, not really one of my favorites.
[name_f]Sophia[/name_f]: A bit too popular for my taste, but I really like it.
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]: I’ve fallen out of love with this name, I still like it, but not like I used to.
[name_f]Olive[/name_f]: I always thought this name was cute.

[name_u]Mason[/name_u]: I’m kind of indifferent because it seems too popular, but I like it.
[name_m]Jack[/name_m]: Adorable on any age.
[name_m]Landon[/name_m]: First thought is of A Walk to [name_f]Remember[/name_f]. It’s an okay name.
[name_m]Lawson[/name_m]: This is one surname name that I can’t see being a legitimate name. It’s not bad though.

These are the ones I like.
Good balance between too basic/common/normal & too weird/rare/unfamiliar

[name_m]Landon[/name_m]
[name_m]Andrew[/name_m]
[name_m]Bennett[/name_m]
[name_m]Harrison[/name_m]
[name_m]Henry[/name_m]
[name_m]Joel[/name_m]

[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]
[name_f]Florence[/name_f]
[name_f]Iris[/name_f]
[name_f]Margaret[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosamond[/name_f]
[name_f]Olive[/name_f]

My favorites:

Boys:

[name_m]Andrew[/name_m]
[name_m]Christopher[/name_m]
[name_m]Connor[/name_m]/[name_m]Conor[/name_m]
[name_u]Elliott[/name_u]
[name_m]Joseph[/name_m]
[name_m]Michael[/name_m]

Girls:

[name_f]Cecilia[/name_f]
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]
[name_f]Florence[/name_f]
[name_f]Morwenna[/name_f]

I am sorry you’ve had rude and cruel verbal reactions to names you have liked; I personally can relate to how hurtful that is and it’s the reason why I only share my name obsession with a select inner circle lol - and online! Of course online, even on Nameberry, it is possible to get hurt feelings because its all about name opinions and people can feel very passionately about them! But I have found Nameberry to be the most moderate of the forums; people usually manage to be civil even about names they really dislike. But hey, even if you get a bad reaction to something you like, don’t let it get to you: you probably detest something they like!

Anyway, about the names! My three absolute favorites from your boy lists are: [name_m]Adam[/name_m], [name_m]Callum[/name_m] & [name_m]Henry[/name_m]. [name_m]Adam[/name_m] to me is very masculine, rugged yet refined. I can picture it on a cowboy or a movie star, hehe. [name_m]Callum[/name_m] is a little more gentle to me - maybe because of the meaning - but still very boyish. I picture a mischevous green-eyed little charmer - and love nn [name_u]Cal[/name_u]. [name_m]Henry[/name_m] is one of my all-time favorite names. I think of an intelligent, compassionate, nature-loving boy. Honorable mention to [name_m]Lawson[/name_m], if it is a family name as I am guessing from your user name? It would make a great middle name for [name_m]Adam[/name_m] or [name_m]Henry[/name_m]. To narrow down your boys list, I would nix 1) [name_u]Hayden[/name_u] - because it doesn’t stand out with all the other -ayden names running around 2) [name_u]Mason[/name_u] - klaimed by the Kardashians and 3) [name_m]Landon[/name_m] - because you already have [name_m]Lawson[/name_m].

My favorites from the girls list - this was hard, there’s something I like about almost all of them! 1) [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] - to me, this is a genuine classic, and it can be either elegant and queenly or sweet and vintage. Endless cute nicknames. 2) [name_f]Delphine[/name_f] - this name has grabbed me lately, and I would [name_f]LOVE[/name_f] to meet a baby [name_f]Delphine[/name_f]. [name_f]Love[/name_f] the name, love the [name_m]French[/name_m] chic. It’s sweet and exotic at the same time. [name_f]Love[/name_f] nn [name_f]Delphi[/name_f], [name_f]Della[/name_f], etc. 3) [name_f]Morwenna[/name_f] - unusual and romantic. I picture this on a very beautiful and perhaps musical child. To whittle the list, I would cross off 1) [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] - because of the uber-popularity 2) [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] - because of “feel ya” teasing potential and 3) [name_f]Ottilie[/name_f] - possible pronunciation problems.

[name_u]Elliott[/name_u]- This one is also growing on me. [name_f]Love[/name_f] this as a middle name too.
