I don’t think any are too difficult to pronounce (assuming my American brain reads them correctly), but Aeronwyn has a slightly unusual flow that would probably require more enunciation than usual.
I have a hard time with Aeronwyn and [name_f]Ilana[/name_f]. They are both pretty, but hard to figure out at first glance.
The only one I’m unsure about the pronunciation for is Aerilyn. At first I read it [name_f]Aer[/name_f]-ee-lyn, as if it’s a Welsh name, but then wondered if it’s pronounced more like [name_f]Aer[/name_f]-uh-lyn, as a more [name_f]English[/name_f] name.
Ilana, [name_f]Jessamine[/name_f], [name_u]Oleander[/name_u], and [name_u]Willoughby[/name_u] are fine. I would say the others are too difficult if you’re just reading them.
Ilana, [name_u]Oleander[/name_u], [name_f]Jessamine[/name_f] and the others were easy to pronounce.
Aeronwyn might be hard for people to pronounce, though.
how are you guys pronouncing Aeronwyn? I would say it like [name_m]Aaron[/name_m]-win
At first I was pronouncing it Aero-ahun-wyn. It took me a minute to figure it out. Maybe you could consider spelling it different. It’s a pretty name.
thanks @Peach_Tree!! Yeah, I would spell it differently , but I just can’t seem to find a good spelling.
Here are some ideas…
Aronwyn
Erinwyn
Erinwin
Aronwin
Arenwyn
I don’t know if any of those speak to you, but I wish you luck!
Here’s how I would pronounce them:
Aeronwyn: air-ON-win
[name_f]Ilana[/name_f]: ih-LAW-na
Aerilyn: AIR-eh-lyn
[name_f]Jessamine[/name_f]: JESS-uh-min
Oleander: OLE-ee-ann-der
Naiden: NAY-den
[name_u]Willoughby[/name_u]: WILL-oh-bee
I would say they aren’t too hard to pronounce, unless I just got these way wrong.
Aeronwyn and Aerilyn are giving me a little trouble. The others seem perfectly intuitive to me!
I’m definitely struggling a bit with Aeronwyn, my brain wants to put an extra “e” in where it shouldn’t (air-ee-on-wen). The others are fine though.
I don’t think any of them are too hard to pronounce.
They seem fine to me!
I said them all the way that everyone else is seeming to, but the spellings of Aeronwyn and Aerilyn are definitely confusing when you first see them. I understand why some wouldn’t be able to pronounce them.
