Honey Beatrice nn Honey Bee?

I felt the same way.

But if your name was [name_f]Honey[/name_f] why would this be creepy? Yeah for sure it’s creepy if its not your name.

I feel like it could be treated as a (possibly creepy) joke by some people that you wouldn’t want attention from, and strangers who don’t know you or your name might find situations uncomfortable.

Totally adorable!

However, I don’t think it’s that usable in the real world. [name_f]Honey[/name_f] is super cute for a kid but it’s hard to imagine a 40 year old [name_f]Honey[/name_f].

I do think [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] “[name_f]Bee[/name_f]” could have [name_f]Honey[/name_f] [name_f]Bee[/name_f] as a nickname though

[name_f]Honey[/name_f] is cute but this past discussion changed my mind about how usable it is:

[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] [name_f]Honey[/name_f] is better!

Because it’s a term of endearment… it would be the same as [name_f]Sweetheart[/name_f] or [name_u]Baby[/name_u] Girl as a name.

I love it.

I actually know someone named this. She chose to go by her middle name when she got older, but I think the name is fantastic. I always told her that she should have used her first name too.

So sweet! I really like the nickname, cutesiness is great in nicknames right  I agree with others about [name_f]Honey[/name_f], though.

It is very sweet! [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] [name_f]Honey[/name_f] ‘[name_f]Honey[/name_f] [name_f]Bee[/name_f]’ might be cute too and a little less sickly sweet

Awww it’s adorable!

I went to school with a girl named [name_f]Honey[/name_f], and I know that she had issues where people thought that it wasn’t her actual name, but a term of endearment.

Yes! I love seeing Honey get more love! I know a Honey, she suits her name very well. Honey Beatrice is very sweet and adorable but it is not too sweet!
However, I would prefer Honey Beatrix. One, because I like Beatrix more. And Two, because I prefer the flow. And Three, you can still get the nn you are looking for without worrying if it is too sweet.

Great for a fictional character, but for a real person I agree wholeheartedly that [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] [name_f]Honey[/name_f] is a much better option. [name_m]Young[/name_m] girls & women already face assault/harassment enough, they don’t need a name that potentially eggs it on  The last thing she’d want is people crossing the boundary because they’re used to calling her an intimate, often romantic pet name. I wish [name_f]Honey[/name_f] was a viable name, it’s absolutely gorgeous! But for her safety and comfort, it’s better in the middle.

I think it’s lovely! Plus once she’s older [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] provides a lot of nicknames to choose from! [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] [name_f]Honey[/name_f] would also be lovely though, as pointed out by others. @alatari Made some excellent points which I think are so important too.

I think that’s a nice combo

It is a bit too sweet for me. Maybe as a little girl it would be super sweet but as a teenager and adult it might be a little much. Though you could call her [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f].

For some reason it reminded me of the books “The Bearstean Bears” because the little bear is called “[name_f]Honey[/name_f] [name_m]Bear[/name_m]” which kinda sound like [name_f]Honey[/name_f] [name_f]Bee[/name_f]. Sorry that was random!

@almostactually Wouldn’t it be so awkward for someone who didn’t know that [name_f]Honey[/name_f] was her real legal name to walk in and hear her boss calling her [name_f]Honey[/name_f]? Someone might think something inappropriate is going on.

Honey would obviously be the boss. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
