Honor Middle For Theodora

My absolute favorite name for a girl right now is [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] and i adore the nickname [name_f]Thea[/name_f]. [name_u]Lucky[/name_u] for me, my SO also loves it. The problem is: We can’t decide what middle we like better. Our list so far:

[name_f]Theodora[/name_f] [name_f]Lillian[/name_f]-[name_f]Lillian[/name_f] was my SO’s great-grandmother. I only knew her for about two years, but she was a wonderful woman (she lived to be 96!)

[name_f]Theodora[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]-[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] was a friend of mine whom passed away a few years ago. My only issue is it might be a bit long? Then again the surname only contains six letters so i might overthink this.

[name_f]Theodora[/name_f] [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f]-[name_f]Ingrid[/name_f] is for my mum.

[name_f]Theodora[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]-My SO’s mum.

Our idea would be to use [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f] or [name_f]Jane[/name_f] now and save the other one for a potential second daughter. (Then off course it’s possible that we won’t have any daughters at all so i might not be an issue, haha)

Anyway, which one of these would you use? Other honor names we consider: [name_f]Maria[/name_f], [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f], [name_f]Helene[/name_f], [name_f]Linnea[/name_f], [name_f]Margareta[/name_f].

[name_f]Theodora[/name_f] [name_f]Lilian[/name_f] sounds best to me. [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is long, but not excessively so. Personally I think [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f] sounds a bit harsh with [name_f]Theodora[/name_f]. [name_f]Jane[/name_f] is nice, but [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] [name_f]Lilian[/name_f] is just my preference.
That said, with honour names I feel the significance of the person can often sway the love of the name. Flow is not really the most important thing, as first name and middle name rarely get used together. Someone’s middle name is often just a ‘fun fact’

[name_f]Theodora[/name_f] [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] and [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f] are my favourites, they sound so lovely

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] there.

This is tricky. Are you worried about offending a mother or mother in law? I like [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f] better than [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]. It flows nicer & is just more interesting. [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] [name_f]Lilian[/name_f] does sound the nicest though. [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] would be lovely to honor your friend, & I don’t think that it’s too long.

So, in conclusion I’m not help because I think they are all good choices. [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] does sound the prettiest though, & you won’t offend any living grandmas. .

I love [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] (Or maybe [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] [name_f]Lily[/name_f]?) and [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]

Hello, and congrats! [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] is a lovely name, and you have many wonderful options. Quick thought: Since [name_f]Lily[/name_f], and by extension other [name_f]Lily[/name_f] names, were originally nicknames for [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], you could honor two people by picking either of those names or a variant.

[name_f]Theodora[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] and [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] are amazing!!

I adore [name_f]Theodora[/name_f]! Such a sweet pick, and all your middle name options are wonderful too. My favorite from your list would be [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f]…it’s such an unexpected pairing, and I love the flow. I like [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] as well, my only critique would be that is perhaps a bit of a mouthful (same with [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]). However, overall I like how the two look together. [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] is also very nice, just not as much of a ‘wow’ factor as [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f] or [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] in my opinion.

Best of luck!

[name_f]Theodora[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] is lovely!

Thank you so much, everyone! Your inputs are very helpful and appreciated
