[name_f]My[/name_f] mother’s name is [name_f]Kerri[/name_f] and I was thinking about what I could name a baby after her because I don’t like [name_f]Kerri[/name_f]. [name_f][/name_f] Her middle name is [name_f]Leigh[/name_f] with is always a possibility but seems v popular like [name_f]Marie[/name_f] or [name_f]Anne[/name_f] as middle names.
[name_f][/name_f]
What other names feel similar to that name. [name_f][/name_f]She mentioned Keressa but I also don’t like that [name_f][/name_f]Me and her don’t care for [name_f]Cressida[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f]— for her I think she’s like it to start with a K [name_f][/name_f]Also through out [name_f]Kyleigh[/name_f] and [name_f]Carleigh[/name_f] and she didn’t like them but didn’t hate them [name_f][/name_f]— and honestly same I don’t love the names
I don’t like the term “filler name” for a reason… it seems to diminish what could be a honor name for someone. My middle name is Lɛɛ honoring my Papa (mn: Lɛɛ) whose name honors his grandma (mn: Lɛᴀ pronounced Lɛɛ). I’m honored to hold the middle name due to its history. If the fact that it is a popular “filler name” is the only reason you don’t want to choose it, I think that, as long as your child knows the history of and your reason for choosing the name, you should reconsider it as an option.
On the other hand, you might consider [name_f]Kirrily[/name_f] as an option.
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] was my first thought, so maybe [name_f]Karolina[/name_f] or Karlyn/Karalyn or just [name_f]Kara[/name_f]? [name_f][/name_f] I think [name_f]Coralie[/name_f] or Kara-Leigh/Karaleigh would be sweet too.
[name_f]My[/name_f] first thought was [name_m]Kerrigan[/name_m]
[name_f][/name_f]
If you humble some letters you could get [name_f][/name_f][name_f]Erika[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f][name_f]Kira[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f][name_m]Riki[/name_m] [name_f][/name_f][name_f]Riley[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f]Kerr/ [name_m]Kier[/name_m]
[name_f][/name_f]
I think there’s some boy name contenders too [name_f][/name_f][name_m]Erik[/name_m] [name_f][/name_f][name_m]Ike[/name_m] [name_f][/name_f][name_m]Riker[/name_m]
I think [name_f]Kiri[/name_f] is a bright, happy name and has a lovely nature-connected meaning. It could be spelt Kirri. [name_f][/name_f]If this feels a bit nicknamey, I also found [name_f]Kiriah[/name_f] which you may like.

Some more names beginning with K with Scottish origins/associations:
[name_f]Or[/name_f] maybe: [name_f][/name_f][name_f]Kallie[/name_f] (really like the K spelling [name_f][/name_f][name_f]Keedie[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f][name_f]Klara[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f][name_f]Katrin[/name_f], [name_f]Katrina[/name_f], [name_f]Katri[/name_f], [name_f]Katriel[/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f]
A stretchy idea: [name_f]Lark[/name_f]. The name has the R and K from [name_f]Kerri[/name_f]. [name_f]Kerri[/name_f] means ‘dark haired, dark one’ from ciar[name_f][/name_f] meaning black[name_f][/name_f], and all species of lark (that I looked up!) have dark eyes and at least some dark feathers.
[name_f][/name_f]
Names also meaning black:

[name_m]Blake[/name_m], [name_f]Blakeley[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f][name_m]Ciar[/name_m] (PN like Keeyr) [name_f][/name_f][name_f]Kali[/name_f] (boosting meaning if you did Kallie)
