Any names to [name]Honor[/name] these without actually using the names like variations of them I could use as a middle or first name.
[name]Phyllis[/name]
[name]Vera[/name]
[name]Edna[/name] - I can think of [name]Eden[/name] but that’s it.
[name]Harriet[/name]
[name]Marilyn[/name]
[name]Vivian[/name]
[name]Amelia[/name] - I already kinda honored this one with my daughter [name]Amy[/name].
I think alot of these are great as-is! Although they mighgt be old ladyish, I think [name]Vera[/name], [name]Edna[/name], [name]Harriet[/name], [name]Vivian[/name] and [name]Amelia[/name] are beautiful!
Other people already gave you some great name variations, but I’ll offer a different idea. Some of the names I have considered to honor certain family members have nothing to do with their names at all…
their birth flower or birthstone or even the month they were born in (i.e. [name]June[/name], [name]May[/name], [name]Violet[/name], [name]Rose[/name], [name]Pearl[/name], [name]Ruby[/name], etc.)
something having to do with their personality (i.e. husband’s grandmother was OBSESSED with all things Gone with the Wind, especially [name]Vivien[/name] [name]Leigh[/name] so we could use names such as [name]Vivien[/name], [name]Scarlett[/name], [name]Tara[/name], [name]Clark[/name], [name]Rhett[/name], etc.; my mother’s favorite song is “Hey [name]Jude[/name]” by the Beatles so we could use [name]Jude[/name]; if my mother-in-law had had a girl, she loved the name [name]Blair[/name]; my mother’s favorite animal is a pig so I could use [name]Portia[/name]
my mother was born on the first day of summer so I could use [name]Summer[/name]
These are just some examples to help you see how you can be creative with honoring someone and it doesn’t necessarily just have to be a variation of their name. Sometimes it’s even more special and personal when you find a more unique way to honor them.
