What are some names beyond [name_f]Glenda[/name_f] and [name_f]Glendora[/name_f] that could honor our beloved Grandpa [name_u]Glenn[/name_u]?
The two that come to mind are [name_f]Glenna[/name_f] and Glennon (as in [name_m]Doyle[/name_m]), both of which strike me as lovely, down-to-earth names.
[name_m]How[/name_m] about the lovely, lively [name_f]Gwen[/name_f]?
[name_f]Glynis[/name_f], [name_f]Glenys[/name_f] or spelling variants of these… or maybe another name that also means valley, e.g. [name_u]Dale[/name_u], [name_u]Camdyn[/name_u], [name_f]Dahlia[/name_f] (flower is named after botanist Dahl, Dahl is Norse for [name_u]Dale[/name_u]/[name_f]Valley[/name_f] it seems?)
Seconding [name_f]Gwen[/name_f]!
[name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f]? [name_f]Genna[/name_f]? [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f]?
[name_f]Gwen[/name_f] and [name_f]Gwendolen[/name_f] are lovely seem like they would work well. I also like the idea of choosing a name with a similar meaning, since [name_u]Glenn[/name_u] has such an appealing meaning.
[name_f]Gwen[/name_f] would be very pretty! I like the idea of a name that honors someone being similar but not exact, and I think [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] fits that really nicely.
Ooh! Please consider [name_f]Valley[/name_f] (the meaning of [name_u]Glenn[/name_u]), I think it’s such an attractive choice.
Also:
[name_u]Emlyn[/name_u] ‘around the valley’
[name_u]Kendall[/name_u] ‘valley on the river [name_m]Kent[/name_m]’
[name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f]
What about
[name_u]Gwynn[/name_u]
[name_f]Gwen[/name_f]
[name_f]Gwenna[/name_f]
[name_f]Gwinna[/name_f]
[name_f]Gwendolen[/name_f]
From the top of my head…
[name_f]Gladys[/name_f]
[name_u]Lane[/name_u]
[name_f]Lena[/name_f]
[name_f]Geneen[/name_f]
[name_f]Greer[/name_f]
[name_f]Gwen[/name_f], [name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f], or [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] also sound similar to [name_u]Glenn[/name_u]
[name_f]Glennis[/name_f] or [name_f]Glenda[/name_f] or [name_f]Glynda[/name_f].
