I would love to honor the name [name_u]Leslie[/name_u] [name_f]Anne[/name_f], without actually using it.
I can’t think of any good alternatives except [name_u]Lee[/name_u]/[name_u]Leigh[/name_u], but I don’t like that name.
Any thoughts as to how to honor a [name_u]Leslie[/name_u] [name_f]Anne[/name_f]?
It appears to mean “garden of holly” so [name_f]Holly[/name_f] or [name_u]Hollis[/name_u] would be honor names.
Maybe [name_f]Lia[/name_f] from “lee A”?
Or just an [name_f]Anne[/name_f] variation, [name_f]Annabel[/name_f], for example. [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] [name_f]Holly[/name_f] perhaps?
Maybe stretching but:
[name_f]Liana[/name_f]
[name_f]Lianne[/name_f]
[name_f]Lana[/name_f]
I thought of maybe [name_f]Liesl[/name_f], [name_f]Lillie[/name_f], [name_f]Lelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Alessia[/name_f] (bit of a stretch).
The first thing that popped into my head was [name_f]Lisette[/name_f]/[name_f]Lisetta[/name_f]. I’m not sure why other than it shares a lot of similar sounds with [name_u]Leslie[/name_u], just in a different order. I like the previous suggestion of [name_f]Liana[/name_f].
[name_f]Ellsie[/name_f] ? As an annogram of [name_u]Leslie[/name_u] could be sweet x
[name_f]Liesl[/name_f] and [name_f]Lisette[/name_f] are good suggestions, what about [name_f]Annelise[/name_f]/[name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] or [name_f]Annalise[/name_f]/[name_f]Annaliese[/name_f] ? Combining the two names into one. If [name_u]Leslie[/name_u] means garden of [name_f]Holly[/name_f] then [name_u]Eden[/name_u] can be a good honor name too.
[name_f]Lilou[/name_f], repeating l sounds like [name_u]Leslie[/name_u].
What about trying to keep the initials L and A?
The only one I can think of that hasn’t been mentioned yet is [name_f]Olesya[/name_f], but that might be a bit of a stretch. I like the suggestion of using the same initials!
Hollister, [name_m]Cullen[/name_m], [name_f]Celyn[/name_f]… They’re technically boys names, but would make unique first names or fun middles.
I also second the suggestions of [name_f]Holly[/name_f] and [name_u]Hollis[/name_u].
Some more a stretch than others:
[name_f]Lana[/name_f]
[name_f]Larissa[/name_f]
[name_f]Layla[/name_f]
[name_f]Leah[/name_f]
[name_f]Leanne[/name_f]
[name_f]Lilah[/name_f]
[name_f]Lisette[/name_f]
[name_f]Annalise[/name_f]
