I would love to honor a [name_u]Lisa[/name_u] and a [name_u]Kay[/name_u], but Iām not in love with either name. Also, I refuse to use names currently in use or recently used (such as a deceased grandparent or parent) as a first nameā¦ too many people in my family have the same name and/or the same nickname and it gets confusing. Iāve thought of a couple of alternatives to both names, but Iām not sure what works and what doesnāt. If you have any other names that would fit with either, please share.
If I had three boys and two girls, I already have a couple of options I love, but Iām struggling with girl options.
Just a headās up: I hate most variations of [name_f]Katherine[/name_f], so please do not recommend them to me. The only ones I actually like are [name_u]Kai[/name_u]/[name_u]Kaj[/name_u] ~ [name_f]Kaia[/name_f]/[name_f]Kaja[/name_f] ~ [name_f]Carine[/name_f]/[name_f]Karine[/name_f] ~ [name_f]Carina[/name_f]/[name_f]Karina[/name_f].
Isla is perfect and Elise is very nice! Kay is a pretty middle name, but you could use something that has the Kay sound, like Kate or Kacey, for example.
Of your choices, I think [name_f]Isla[/name_f] is clever, and I like [name_f]Elise[/name_f], [name_f]Alisa[/name_f], and [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] too!
[name_f]Kaia[/name_f] [name_f]Elise[/name_f] is dreamy [name_f]Isla[/name_f] [name_u]Kai[/name_u] is cute too!
[name_u]Lisa[/name_u] is a diminutive of [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], so any other forms of [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] could work (although the sound connection wouldnāt be there): [name_f]Beth[/name_f], [name_f]Betty[/name_f], [name_f]Betsy[/name_f], [name_f]Elspeth[/name_f], [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] ā¦
[name_f]Liesel[/name_f] or [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] would be closer in sound.
[name_f]Mikayla[/name_f] contains [name_u]Kay[/name_u] - you could use the [name_f]Michaela[/name_f] spelling. [name_f]Liesel[/name_f] [name_f]Michaela[/name_f]?
I do like all of your ideas for honouring [name_u]Lisa[/name_u], too! [name_f]Isla[/name_f] works really well.
[name_f]Isla[/name_f] is such a clever honor for [name_u]Lisa[/name_u]! I never would have thought of it yet it makes perfect sense. I also think it pairs best with the potential sibling names. [name_u]Elisa[/name_u] and [name_f]Elise[/name_f] are also lovely and work fantastically with [name_f]Annika[/name_f], Conrad/Konrad, and [name_m]Kent[/name_m], just not sure Iād use either with Ęlvį“ (at least not as first names).
And [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] is my favorite [name_u]Kay[/name_u] honor!
