Honoring?

Hey Berries!
I’m back after a busy semester! So I was wondering if you could give me a few ideas. My grandmother, whom I adore, is named [name_f]Zoe[/name_f]. [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] has been my favorite name for approximately five years now, due to the association with my grandmother. But I think now, after five years, I’m getting a bit bored with it and it doesn’t really fit in with the rest of my names. I’d still like to honor my grandmother. What would you do? I’d love some suggestions in regards to honoring. I was thinking maybe using [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] as a middle? I’d love suggestions.
Thanks Berries!

I’ve always thought that Z was an awesome middle initial.

I think [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] would make a great middle name (depending on the first, of course)

[name_f]Zoe[/name_f] as a middle is perfectly fine.

Perhaps you could honor your grandmother by using a name that has the same or similar meaning but different derivation? For example, [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] means “life” and so maybe you could use names like: [name_f]Liv[/name_f] (Swedish, Norwegian, Danish), [name_f]Mei[/name_f] (Japanese), [name_f]Eva[/name_f]-(Greek/Biblical), [name_f]Aisha[/name_f] (Persian/Arabic), [name_u]Vida[/name_u] (Latin/Spanish), [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] (French), etc. that all mean “life” as well? There are plenty more names to look at, I just went online and searched for names with that meaning or similar.

Another method could be inverting her first and middle name and adjusting again like in the first method. For example in my family, many people honor my mother (Farides Esther) by using her first name in some way. What I’ve done is invert her name and use a French form of Esther in honor of my father’s French side so we have the name: Estée Farides.[name_f]Hope[/name_f] I helped : )

What about using the month of her birth to honor her instead of her name. Like if she was born in [name_u]August[/name_u], you could use something like [name_f]Augustyne[/name_f]/[name_m]Augustine[/name_m]
Or the use a name of a flower that only blooms in the month that she was born.
Consider maybe using her initials to match up with your own child. Such as
Everlyn [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] [name_f]Zabelle[/name_f] or [name_m]Zachery[/name_m] [name_u]Owen[/name_u] [name_m]Eli[/name_m]

I think [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] works well as a middle name for a lot of names on your signature- [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Zoe[/name_f], [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] and [name_f]Margo[/name_f] [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] would all be lovely. Also, I actually think [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] fits in well with the rest of your sig- [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] and [name_f]Ariadne[/name_f] could easily be sisters

Nothing wrong with [name_f]Zoe[/name_f]! I can understand becoming bored with your names though.

Try looking for some new names to add to your list and you will naturally find out which ones you prefer or not over [name_f]Zoe[/name_f].

I really like [name_f]Eve[/name_f] to honour a [name_f]Zoe[/name_f], or [name_f]Liv[/name_f] or [name_f]Zara[/name_f].
