Honour name for Bridget

My darling little sister Bridget Catherine passed away last year, we were extremely close and she was the most wonderful human. We are now expecting our third girl and I would like to honor Bridget, but need this little girl to have her own identity.

Our eldest daughter is Alice Margaret and our second is Cecilia Louise. Both Margaret and Louise are family names and this girl’s middle name will be either Catherine or Elizabeth, whichever is the better fit.

We are looking for any and all suggestions. As you can probably tell we generally like classic names but are open to any and all suggestions.

Thank you so much.

I am so sorry for your loss. I couldn’t imagine the pain that comes with losing a little sister. It’s so special to honour her , and I love the name [name_f]Bridget[/name_f] !

I think [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] would honour your sister with the shared initials ! [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] is classic like [name_f]Alice[/name_f] and [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] and also ties in a ABC theme

I think [name_f]Birdie[/name_f] might also work but is a little different and less classic than your daughters names

[name_u]Or[/name_u] maybe just the short and simple [name_f]Bree[/name_f] / [name_f]Brie[/name_f]

[name_f]Bridget[/name_f] means strength so names that share the same meaning could be
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f]
[name_f]Valentina[/name_f]
[name_f]Valerie[/name_f]
[name_f]Gabriella[/name_f]

Thank you so much. [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] is one of our front runners. I love the [name_f]Bee[/name_f] nickname as well. [name_f]Gabriella[/name_f] is also gorgeous, I might have to suggest that to my husband.

Your girls have marvelous names! I’m so dearly sorry for your loss. It sounds the most painful thing, to lose a sister.

Names to honor Bridget with older sisters Alice and Cecelia …

Beatrice
Birgitta
Bridie / Bridey
Birdie
Briony
Britta
Bea / Bee
Greta (from Bridget’s “r” and “get”)

[name_f]Brielle[/name_f]
[name_u]Bryn[/name_u]

[name_u]Or[/name_u] really any name starting with B or Br could work as an honor name.

If I were going to honor a beloved sister I would want the connection to be a little more direct than just a name that starts with the letter B. Unfortunately, [name_f]Bridget[/name_f] doesn’t really have any good derivations, but it is such a beautiful name that I would use it as a middle name.
[name_f]Molly[/name_f] [name_f]Bridget[/name_f]
[name_f]Annabel[/name_f] [name_f]Bridget[/name_f]
[name_f]Tessa[/name_f] [name_f]Bridget[/name_f]

How about [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] [name_f]Bridget[/name_f], just reverse it? [name_u]Or[/name_u] since [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] might be the little one’s mn, that could just be the connection they have.

Other ideas:
[name_f]Brighid[/name_f]
[name_f]Bedelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Bianca[/name_f]
[name_f]Bernadette[/name_f]
[name_f]Briony[/name_f]

How about [name_f]Bridie[/name_f]?
