Not pregnant at the moment but I was discussing future baby names with my fiancé earlier. If we ever have a daughter, he wants to name her after his mother [name]Brandi[/name] in some way. However, we both agree that the name Brandi is way too 1970s for either of our tastes, even as a middle name.
Maybe an “Andi” name like [name_u]Andrea[/name_u] or [name_f]Andromeda[/name_f]?
Maybe mix around the letters of her name, such as:
[name_f]Andi[/name_f]
[name_f]Birna[/name_f]
[name_f]Brina[/name_f]
[name_u]Dani[/name_u]
[name_f]Dian[/name_f]
[name_f]Dina[/name_f]
[name_u]Rani[/name_u]
[name_f]Rina[/name_f]
[name_m]Just[/name_m] [name_f]Andi[/name_f] popped into my mind first but that’s maybe a bit of the same era as [name_f]Brandi[/name_f].
A name starting with the same sound could be a lovely way to honour her (like [name_f]Bronwen[/name_f], [name_u]Briar[/name_u], or Bronte).
[name_f]Brenda[/name_f] or Briane, maybe?
I like [name_f]Madeira[/name_f], [name_f]Mimosa[/name_f], [name_f]Claret[/name_f].
What about [name_f]Bindi[/name_f]?
[name_f]Branwen[/name_f] or [name_f]Branwyn[/name_f] or [name_f]Branna[/name_f]
[name_f]Briana[/name_f]
[name_f]Bria[/name_f]
[name_f]Andie[/name_f]
[name_f]Bea[/name_f]
[name_f]Brenna[/name_f]
Lots of great ideas here! Maybe you can look for other things to honor his mom with. Is her middle name or maiden name more your taste? [name_u]Or[/name_u] maybe using her initials? Maybe look into things she enjoys, like her favorite hobby or book character or color or flower. Is there some place that’s important to her?
There are so many ways to honor people other than just their names!
[name_f]Miranda[/name_f], maybe
