Im still making sure that my chosen name will be the perfect name for me and ive been wanting to honour my burth name (Daphne was my forename and [name_f]Dahlia[/name_f] was my middle name) so any boy names honouring that will be greatly appreciated

- [name_u]Dale[/name_u] - combines sounds in [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] and [name_f]Dahlia[/name_f] and a classic. [name_f]My[/name_f] grandfather was [name_u]Dale[/name_u] so I love it
- [name_m]Dalton[/name_m] - same as above
- [name_u]Loren[/name_u] - shares “laurel” meaning with [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] and I think [name_u]Loren[/name_u] is cool on a guy personally

Another way to make a link is with Greek mythology names as that is where [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] comes from. I like [name_m]Jason[/name_m], [name_m]Damon[/name_m] and [name_m]Leander[/name_m]!

So there’s a Greek Myth about [name_f]Daphne[/name_f]. Basically, [name_m]Apollo[/name_m], the god of music, archery and tragic bi relationships, fell in love with a beautiful girl named [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] after being shot by [name_m]Eros[/name_m], the son of [name_f]Aphrodite[/name_f] and someone who could basically make anyone fall blindly in love with anyone he wanted them to by shooting them. So [name_m]Apollo[/name_m] chased after [name_f]Daphne[/name_f], and she ran away. He, having no tact or ability to see where he wasn’t wanted, continued to chase her. She begged her father to help her escape so he turned her into a [name_u]Laurel[/name_u] tree.
