Been thinking of [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] lately, its my grandfathers name and I would love to honour it!
But I dont love [name_m]Frederick[/name_m], I adore [name_u]Freddie[/name_u] though, in a perfect world where we didnt have to give people “proper names” I would without a doubt name my child [name_u]Freddie[/name_u]!
I dont like [name_m]Fred[/name_m] either, although I could just tuck [name_m]Fred[/name_m] in as a middle name.
What do you guys think? Any other names for [name_m]Fred[/name_m] im not thinking of?
I think [name_u]Freddie[/name_u] can be a stand alone name.

Personally feel like you can use [name_u]Freddie[/name_u] as a name! I think [name_m]Derick[/name_m] or [name_m]Wilfred[/name_m] are good alternatives for honor names! Also love Henrick as an alternative to [name_m]Fredrick[/name_m] (maybe to matchy matchup)!

Freddie makes a charming name all on it’s own! He just may have to correct people who assume it’s [name_m]Frederick[/name_m], but then he gets to tell people he was named after his great-grandfather.
Or, how about a name the ends in [name_m]Fred[/name_m]? some of them are kinda clunky but could be cute…

[name_m]Alfred[/name_m] and [name_m]Ferdinand[/name_m] are my favorites to get to [name_u]Freddie[/name_u] personally.
I know a lot of people with nickname names. While that isn’t my style, (I like the additional options of a longform name with an accompanying nickname/nicknames) the only person who can decide if [name_u]Freddie[/name_u] is name enough for the birth certificate is you.
