Honour Names

i have recently been looking into honouring grandparents, parents, aunts, uncles, relatives and friends by using names similar but no the same, and along the same lines, but I have been stumped on my mum’s mum, Illse. I want to come up with something fresh, like revamping the name. I would appreciate any input.

Preferably a name that has the same meaning, sounds the same or is derived from the name, or that starts with the same letter. Any names are appreciated.

Some names I have already decided on for honouring:
[name_f]Hana[/name_f] Jaroon ([name_u]June[/name_u]) > [name_f]Juni[/name_f]/[name_f]Juno[/name_f]
[name_f]Amy[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] > [name_f]Amitee[/name_f]
[name_u]Toby[/name_u] > [name_u]Tobin[/name_u]
[name_f]Jacqueline[/name_f] > [name_m]Joaquin[/name_m]

I’m assuming Illse is a variant of [name_f]Ilse[/name_f], which is a form of [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]. I think you could choose any name relating to [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] to honour an Illse.

Some ideas:
[name_f]Ilsa[/name_f]
[name_f]Elsa[/name_f]
[name_f]Elsie[/name_f]
Ellisiv
[name_f]Elise[/name_f]
[name_f]Liesel[/name_f]
[name_f]Lieschen[/name_f]

More here:

Illse is a tricky one! I’ve never heard the name before.
[name_f]Isla[/name_f]
[name_f]Ilsa[/name_f]
[name_f]Elsa[/name_f]
[name_f]Elsie[/name_f]
[name_f]Elise[/name_f]
[name_f]Elyse[/name_f]
[name_f]Stella[/name_f]
[name_f]Cilla[/name_f]
[name_f]Iris[/name_f]
[name_u]Lisa[/name_u]
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f]

I think you could also get away with [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] (and variants) at a push.

[name_u]Carlisle[/name_u]
Islie
[name_f]Isla[/name_f]
[name_f]Ida[/name_f]

Is there anything they were into? If you don’t want to do the full name it could be just as lovely tribute.

[name_f]Hana[/name_f] Jaroon ([name_u]June[/name_u]): [name_f]Juno[/name_f] is lovely! Also [name_f]Anna[/name_f] could work.
[name_f]Amy[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f]: [name_f]Amitee[/name_f] I don’t like, but [name_f]Amelie[/name_f] could totally work!
[name_u]Toby[/name_u]: [name_u]Tobin[/name_u] is ok, also [name_m]Tobias[/name_m] or [name_u]Cody[/name_u]
[name_f]Jacqueline[/name_f]: [name_m]Joaquin[/name_m], I like, but I don’t see the connection. [name_m]Jackson[/name_m] or [name_m]Jack[/name_m] could be ok.
