Honour Names

Hello!

[name_m]How[/name_m] would you honour [name_m]Anthony[/name_m] ([name_u]Tony[/name_u]) without using either his actual name or his nickname?
The other male name we’d really want to honour is [name_m]Ian[/name_m], and for that I like [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m], so something similar would be cool - but also harder to do as [name_m]Anthony[/name_m] is a lot longer and all the variants I could find sound pretty similar.

It would likely be [name_m]Luke[/name_m] [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] and then [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] ‘[name_m]Anthony[/name_m]-related name’.

I was thinking that maybe [name_u]Onyx[/name_u] could work, using the -ony, but [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] [name_u]Onyx[/name_u] does not have the best flow :frowning:

You have probably already thought of these, but I will mention…
[name_m]Antonio[/name_m]
[name_u]Antoine[/name_u]
[name_m]Anton[/name_m]

This is tough, sorry. Good luck!

[name_m]Isaac[/name_m] [name_m]Antonio[/name_m] is dreamy!

Oh, I just found Antares… [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] Antares?

I think [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] [name_u]Antoine[/name_u] or [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] [name_m]Antony[/name_m] would be so handsome. But as a pp mentioned, you’ve probably considered them. Another variant could be [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] [name_m]Tonio[/name_m].
Maybe [name_m]Anson[/name_m] or [name_m]Anderson[/name_m]? [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] [name_m]Anson[/name_m]/[name_m]Isaac[/name_m] [name_m]Anderson[/name_m].

I looked up names that contain “ant”:
[name_m]Brant[/name_m]
[name_m]Bryant[/name_m]
constant
[name_m]Constantin[/name_m]
[name_u]Constantine[/name_u]
[name_m]Ferrante[/name_m]
[name_m]Grant[/name_m]
[name_m]Durant[/name_m]
[name_m]Tarantino[/name_m]
[name_u]Santana[/name_u]

Then you could say you took the three first letters from each of the names ([name_m]Ian[/name_m] and [name_m]Anthony[/name_m]?)

I like
[name_m]Isaac[/name_m] [name_m]Tarantino[/name_m]
[name_m]Issac[/name_m] brant
[name_m]Issac[/name_m] grant
[name_m]Issac[/name_m] [name_u]Santana[/name_u]

[name_m]Isaac[/name_m] [name_m]Andon[/name_m] would be cute!

I like Isaac Antony best. Prob not enough of a difference but it flows.

Did the same thing with “ton”

[name_u]Alton[/name_u]
[name_u]Ashton[/name_u]
[name_m]Benton[/name_m]
[name_m]Braxton[/name_m]
[name_u]Britton[/name_u]
[name_m]Burton[/name_m]
[name_m]Carlton[/name_m]
[name_m]Clayton[/name_m]
[name_m]Clinton[/name_m]
[name_m]Dalton[/name_m]
[name_u]Easton[/name_u]

[name_m]Huntington[/name_m]
[name_u]Keaton[/name_u]
[name_m]Langston[/name_m]
[name_m]Lawton[/name_m]
[name_u]Leighton[/name_u]
[name_m]Littleton[/name_m]
[name_m]Livingston[/name_m]
[name_m]Marston[/name_m]
[name_m]Milton[/name_m]
[name_m]Morton[/name_m]
[name_m]Newton[/name_m]
[name_u]Paxton[/name_u]
[name_u]Peyton[/name_u]
[name_m]Preston[/name_m]
[name_m]Princeton[/name_m]
[name_u]Remington[/name_u]
[name_m]Shelton[/name_m]
[name_m]Stone[/name_m]
[name_m]Stonewall[/name_m]
[name_m]Templeton[/name_m]
[name_m]Trenton[/name_m]
[name_m]Walton[/name_m]
[name_m]Washington[/name_m]
[name_m]Williston[/name_m]
[name_m]Wilton[/name_m]
[name_m]Winston[/name_m]

(That’s not all of them, but what I considered the more usable ones…)

What about [name_u]Andy[/name_u] or [name_m]Andrew[/name_m]? I’ve always thought [name_u]Andy[/name_u] would work as a nickname for [name_m]Anthony[/name_m], and [name_m]Andrew[/name_m] shares the “an” beginning, though it’s not a super obvious honour.

Thanks everyone!
I like [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] [name_m]Anson[/name_m], [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] [name_m]Andrew[/name_m] and [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] [name_m]Grant[/name_m]! I will float them with my S/O ([name_m]Anthony[/name_m] is his dad so…)
