Hey Berries!
We have a number of Cinderellas in our [name_u]Roma[/name_u] family tree, all quite far down the line; but it was a common name for our ancestors. While I would never use [name_f]Cinderella[/name_f] and I do know [name_f]Ella[/name_f] was her real name, what other names do you feel conjure up the same magical images and would honour a [name_f]Cinderella[/name_f]?
I know some find the [name_f]Elle[/name_f] names quite common, though I haven’t experienced that where I live and I am quite fond of many of the -[name_f]Elle[/name_f], -[name_f]Ella[/name_f] names; but this is mainly for fun anyway.
Thoughts?
That’s a fun name to have in your family tree!
[name_m]How[/name_m] about…
[name_f]Clarinda[/name_f]
[name_f]Cyrilla[/name_f]/[name_f]Cirilla[/name_f]
[name_f]Cynthia[/name_f]
[name_f]Cynara[/name_f]
Adiella
[name_f]Danielle[/name_f]/[name_f]Daniella[/name_f]
[name_f]Christabella[/name_f]
[name_f]Christella[/name_f]
[name_f]Idella[/name_f]
[name_f]Luella[/name_f]
[name_f]Marcella[/name_f]
[name_f]Carmella[/name_f]
Some just end in -[name_f]Ella[/name_f] while other have the same sound in a way.
[name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_u]Ember[/name_u]? It’s not a common name, but it ties in the E from [name_f]Ella[/name_f] and and an ember and cinder and similar- it would be a really subtle and modern nod to [name_f]Cinderella[/name_f].
[name_u]Ember[/name_u] was the first thing that popped into my head too.
I don’t understand how I can dislike [name_f]Amber[/name_f] so much but love, love, love [name_u]Ember[/name_u]. It was my first thought as well and I think it would make a fabulous choice to honor a [name_f]Cinderella[/name_f]… how cool!
Maybe [name_f]Lucinda[/name_f]? It has both a fairytale feel and the ‘cinda’ part.
I thought of [name_f]Christabel[/name_f]/[name_f]Christabella[/name_f] [name_m]Just[/name_m] as princessy, and feels fit for a fairy tale, but not as difficult to wear as [name_f]Cinderella[/name_f].
