[name]Hi[/name] all!
Hubby and I are planning on starting a family next year. I have been playing with the idea of honouring my Grandmother (who I am very close to) through the name. Her name is [name]Mavis[/name] (no middle name) though which I don’t particularly like and can’t sell to hubby even as a middle name. Can anyone think of a way to make this name a little more modern whilst still honouring my Grandma?
Thanks
What about [name]Maeve[/name]?
Or even [name]Mae[/name]…
Totally agree.
I agree, and [name]Maeve[/name] is pretty. Or [name]Avis[/name]?
[name]Maeve[/name]
[name]Mae[/name] + any other name with [name]May[/name] sounds, [name]Mabel[/name], [name]Macy[/name], [name]Maida[/name], [name]Maisie[/name], [name]Maple[/name].
[name]Avis[/name]
[name]Ava[/name]
[name]Avery[/name]
Is there another way you could remember your grandma other than using her name? Did she have a favorite color/flower/place/hero that would bring her to mind for your family? If she is still with you, what about asking her for name advice, and then incorporating her suggestions?
