Honouring Heinz

My darling great uncle back in [name_m]Germany[/name_m] is named [name_m]Heinz[/name_m], it’s not a name I’d use, mainly due to the associations. Very quintessential [name_m]German[/name_m] or a brand of ketchup. I am looking for ideas of how to honour him. He was a talented craftsman who made toys out of wood that he sent to me throughout my childhood. He such a sweet man and even though I’ve only seen him while on holidays or when he’s come out to Australia, we have such a great relationship, and he’s always doted on me a lot. He’s probably one of the men I’m closest to in my family even though we live worlds away. So far the only idea I’ve got is [name_m]Harro[/name_m] as a middle name, any ideas? Thanks Berries!

Well, since [name_m]Heinz[/name_m] is a [name_m]German[/name_m] diminutive of [name_m]Heinrich[/name_m], I’d say you could use anything in the ‘[name_m]Henry[/name_m]’ family, e.g.:

[name_m]Henry[/name_m]
[name_m]Harry[/name_m]
[name_m]Hal[/name_m]
[name_m]Henrik[/name_m]
[name_m]Henri[/name_m]
[name_m]Enrico[/name_m]
[name_m]Enzo[/name_m]
[name_m]Rico[/name_m]
etc

Some of those get a bit far away in terms of phonetics, but I think they all work as a nod to [name_m]Heinz[/name_m].

[name_m]Hanno[/name_m]
[name_m]Hannes[/name_m]
[name_m]Hans[/name_m]
[name_m]Henning[/name_m]
[name_m]Enric[/name_m]
[name_m]Arrigo[/name_m]

Personally I really like [name_m]Henning[/name_m] and [name_m]Arrigo[/name_m].

I agree with perhaps using a name in the [name_m]Henry[/name_m] family.

Or you could have Geppetto like the guy who made Pinocchio since he made you wooden toys haha. It’s a pretty cute name or you could have Gepp. Or you could look up names associated with wood or craftsmanship.
