Hopefully my last post/poll. Down to 2 names!

[name]Willa[/name]
or
[name]Hazel[/name]

Why?

Thank you so much for any feedback!

I like both names, but [name]Hazel[/name] just seems more appealing. I think it is fun to say!

I like [name]Hazel[/name] just a bit better. It sounds more feminine and charming to me

[name]Hazel[/name].

Because [name]Willa[/name] is too similar to other popular names like [name]Ella[/name], [name]Bella[/name], Etc. [name]Hazel[/name] is a great choice!

I’d vote [name]Hazel[/name] for sure! Strikes me as less trendy? More feminine and prettier.

Ooh, its just so hard! I see your problem, I like both equally
Have you got a middle name for her? Maybe you could do:
[name]Willa[/name] [name]Hazel[/name] or [name]Hazel[/name] [name]Willa[/name]?

My gut says [name]Hazel[/name] but its actually pretty darn popular where I live. [name]Willa[/name] seemed less common to me. I have a daughter and I think her name would be fine with either. Keep the opinions coming! Thanks!

[name]Hazel[/name]! It’s sweet, cute and spunky. [name]Willa[/name] feels a lot flimsier to me, and kind of nicknamey (though I would love [name]Wilhelmina[/name] nn [name]Willa[/name]).

[name]Hazel[/name]. [name]Willa[/name] is nice, but for me it seems unfinished. I prefer [name]Willow[/name].

I like [name]Willa[/name]. [name]Willa[/name] Cather’s one of my favorite authors, and I had a teacher named [name]Willa[/name]. I like that it’s unusual, that it has history, that it feels both strong and lovely to me. It doesn’t feel tied to the Ellas at all.

[name]Hazel[/name] feels trendy (maybe I’ve read too much [name]John[/name] [name]Green[/name] lately), and I’m not a huge fan of the sounds or look. It feels very different from [name]Camille[/name]. There’s nothing wrong with it, it’s a fine name and if you choose it I’ll be cheering you on with the rest.

I just adore [name]Willa[/name]. [name]Willa[/name] [name]Corinne[/name] and [name]Camille[/name] [name]Elise[/name] are just a splendid combination. I love the double-L tie-in, I love the feel of the sibset, I love how elegant and warm the names feel. I think both are charming on little girls and respectable and awesome on adults.

Thank you all for your opinions! I too have read two books with a character named [name]Hazel[/name] in it! I am hearing it more and I think it will only get more popular esp in the trendy city I live in :frowning: But when I share it, it is the name everyone responds so well too. Plus, it is a family name too. So it is hard to decide what to do! I agree with [name]Brigid[/name] about [name]Willa[/name] and that I like the double-L and that it is more unusual. Tough call!!!

Maybe I could do [name]Willa[/name] [name]Corinna[/name] or [name]Willa[/name] [name]Hazel[/name]. I am not sure how we will decide. If [name]Hazel[/name] wasn’t getting so popular, I would more inclined to chose it. Thanks again!

[name]Hazel[/name]! I just love the sound and the elegance of it. [name]Willa[/name] is cute, but just feels unfinished to me.

I like both names alot so I don’t think you can go wrong.

I love the spunkiness of [name]Hazel[/name] and the strength of [name]Willa[/name]. Honestly, I would probably go with [name]Willow[/name] and use [name]Willa[/name] as a nn.

I like both but prefer [name]Willa[/name], I like the literary connection!

I’m in the minority here. I really dislike the name [name]Hazel[/name]. It makes me think of witches and old ladies. I normally like “old lady” names but not this one. I much prefer [name]Willa[/name]!

[name]Hazel[/name] is my first reaction, but I really love both names.

Oh wow. [name]Both[/name] names are so beautiful! I really don’t know what to tell you. [name]Both[/name] names are sweet, mild, and strong.

I have no idea how to decide  I do like [name]Hazel[/name] a tad better but again, it is gaining popularity fast here in [name]Portland[/name], OR and really, in general. And that might be the reason we don’t choose it. My daughter’s name is [name]Camille[/name]. I think both names work well with her name but the sibset is not as important to me. There are so many beautiful names out there though. I love [name]Olive[/name], [name]June[/name], [name]Eloise[/name], [name]Ruby[/name], [name]Leona[/name], [name]Vivienne[/name], [name]Greta[/name], [name]Juniper[/name], [name]Genevieve[/name], [name]Luna[/name], [name]Selah[/name], [name]Ingrid[/name], [name]Esme[/name], [name]Leona[/name], [name]Adah[/name], etc. but can’t use these for a variety of reasons.

[name]Willa[/name] for me, love the sound of it and it feels feminine without being frilly. [name]Hazel[/name] is lovely as well, but still feels a bit old-ladyish to me.

This is a tough one, either one would be great. However to me [name]Hazel[/name] just seems nicer.
