This came about because I recently discovered the Swedish girl’s name Lillemor. One of our friends knew a Swedish exchange student named Lillemor and thought her name was beautiful. It immediately went on my list, but I drew a blank when trying to pair it with a middle name.
Probably because of the similarity to [name_f]Lily[/name_f], it makes me think of flowers–a field of wildflowers. I’m trying to come up with some nature names that could be used in the middle to intensify that image.
Any ideas?
Lillemor…
Lillemor [name_f]Iris[/name_f]
Lillemor [name_f]Hyacinth[/name_f]
Lillemor [name_f]Cypress[/name_f]
Lillemor [name_u]Janvier[/name_u]
Lillemor [name_f]Junia[/name_f]
Lillemor [name_f]Jade[/name_f]
Lillemor [name_u]Jay[/name_u]
Lillemor [name_f]Savannah[/name_f]
Lillemor [name_f]Violet[/name_f]
Lillemor [name_f]Avril[/name_f], Lillemor [name_f]Augusta[/name_f], Lillemor [name_f]Dawn[/name_f]
[name_f]Kinda[/name_f] reminds me of Lillehammer (where the Olympics were years back)
I think the main issue is that it sounds a bit like “little more”, so something like Lillemor [name_u]Rain[/name_u] or Lillemor [name_f]Snow[/name_f] sounds like you’re talking about the wet weather.
what about?
Lillemor [name_m]Vine[/name_m]
Lillemor [name_f]Fern[/name_f]
Lillemor [name_f]Hazel[/name_f]
Lillemor Swan
Thanks! I’m especially liking [name_f]Cypress[/name_f] (though it’s “tree” rather than “flowers,” it has such a fresh sound), [name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_f]Dawn[/name_f], and [name_f]Hazel[/name_f].
I agree–[name_f]Snow[/name_f] and [name_u]Rain[/name_u] would be bad ideas, haha.
I’ve never heard Lillemor (lil-uh-mor or lil-E-more)?
Not necessarily flowers but nature
Lillemor [name_f]Dawn[/name_f]

Lillemor [name_u]Ember[/name_u]
Lillemor [name_f]Acacia[/name_f]
Lillemor [name_f]Hazel[/name_f]
Hmm. So I think with this name you’ll want to play it so that you don’t sound like you’re naming her after two different flowers – as I automatically think [name_f]Lily[/name_f] when I hear Lillemor and believe that this could be a very well-used nickname with you, her or among friends.

Wow, fourthseason, thank you! Lots of lovely and unexpected choices here. I’ll have to go through them carefully when I have a few more minutes and decide which ones I like with Lillemor.
Btw, you have some lovelies in your signature. My fancy is especially tickled by [name_m]Bertram[/name_m] [name_m]Peregrine[/name_m] Knightly.
Thank you, and I’m glad to help out
Lillemor [name_f]Astrid[/name_f] popped into my head immediately.
I know it’s not technically a nature name, but (for some reason) I’ve always thought of it as a nature name. I think because it sounds like aster (the flower)? Maybe that’s your association, that they both sound like flowers without actually being flower names…
It is also a Swedish name! It means divine strength. It flows nicely with Lillemor (I think so anyway).
Thanks! That’s a neat idea–I do like how they both sound like flower names without actually being flower names.
