How bad is it?

My significant other and I have started to make a serious list of potential names. His number 1 suggestion for a boy… [name_m]Jack[/name_m] [name_m]Daniel[/name_m]. I love both names, but how tacky is this really? [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] is also a family name.

I would go for [name_m]Jackson[/name_m] [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] myself… just could not deal with [name_m]Jack[/name_m] [name_m]Daniel[/name_m]… jmho

I think you should definitely keep looking. They’re great names separately! Not so much together.

I don’t do it please!! We have a [name_u]Jameson[/name_u] and already get enough comments about the whiskey. I can’t imagine using the name [name_m]Jack[/name_m] [name_m]Daniel[/name_m]. Or worse- HAVING the name [name_m]Jack[/name_m] [name_m]Daniel[/name_m].

I agree with @oiseau - I would go with [name_m]Jackson[/name_m] [name_m]Daniel[/name_m], or find a new FN since [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] is a family name.

I think [name_m]Jack[/name_m] [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] is borderline cruelty. However, I agree that [name_m]Jackson[/name_m] [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] is fine. Or to move it even further away, you could spell it [name_m]Jaxon[/name_m]/[name_m]Jaxen[/name_m], names I am seeing more and more frequently. Otherwise, what about just [name_m]Jax[/name_m]? Or some other name vaguely similar, like [name_u]Jay[/name_u] or [name_m]Jason[/name_m] or [name_u]James[/name_u] or [name_u]Jesse[/name_u]?

[name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_m]John[/name_m] [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] and call h [name_m]Jack[/name_m]? Or use [name_m]Jack[/name_m] and find a new middle name.

No, no - definitely not!! It’s in the same neighborhood as naming a child [name_f]Mimosa[/name_f] or [name_f]Chardonnay[/name_f]. [name_f]Remember[/name_f] that he’ll be applying for colleges, grad schools, jobs, etc. with that name. It just isn’t professional. Use one and save the other for the next boy.
