[name_m]How[/name_m] bad is [name_u]Hollis[/name_u] (mn) Poss for a boy’s name? [name_u]Hollis[/name_u] is a family name, and I’ve been trying to steer clear because of the double “ah” and “ss” sounds, but I just keep coming back to it. Is it as bad as I think it is? Are there any other boy names that could clearly be related to [name_u]Hollis[/name_u] that sound better?
I actually really like [name_u]Hollis[/name_u]! Depending on the first/last name, I don’t see any problem with it
I like [name_u]Hollis[/name_u]! I definitely see how it could be a problem with your surname though. The only suggestions I can think of are [name_u]Holland[/name_u], Holsten, and maybe Hollister.
I really like the name [name_u]Hollis[/name_u], but I don’t think it flows well or sounds great with the surname Poss at all, unfortunately!
It is so frustrating when a favourite name doesn’t cooperate with your last name. I faced a similar challenge when choosing a name for my daughter…I had to pitch so many great names because they just didn’t sound right! Ughh.
I would choose a different first name.
I like it. I do love H names though, which have a nice vintage feel.
