How common is Isla, really?

I’m still essentially trying to decide between [name]Lorcan[/name], [name]Findlay[/name] and [name]Greer[/name] or [name]Lorcan[/name], [name]Isla[/name] and [name]Fergus[/name]…I love [name]Lorcan[/name], [name]Isla[/name] and [name]Fergus[/name] but am concerned about the relative popularity of [name]Isla[/name] compared to [name]Lorcan[/name] and [name]Fergus[/name].

[name]Lorcan[/name], [name]Isla[/name] and [name]Fergus[/name]…forgetting the other sibset option for a moment, what are your impressions of this set?

[name]How[/name] many people have you actually come across (not online) in your everyday life named [name]Isla[/name] (and what area do you live in?)?

Many Thanks! Kath xx

Posting from the inner-mountain western U.S. Intersting question because I have never met an [name]Isla[/name], although I’m not all that in touch with the baby-kid world. I have just assumed [name]Isla[/name], graceful, beautiful, and for now – unusual – is destined to soar to the top. But hey – I’ve been wrong before.
[name]Both[/name] your sets sound contemporary, not-too-strange, not-too-popular. [name]Isla[/name] is the only one that stands out as a future Top 10. But if you love it – does that matter? Personally, I like your first group best – [name]Lorcan[/name], [name]Findlay[/name], and [name]Greer[/name]. They seem to go best together as a group. [name]Isla[/name] is prettier – not always a bad thing – just it puts it odd name out. I’m not a fan of [name]Fergus[/name] – but that is just me. It’s a fine name, not at all wrong in our society.

I know two little girls names [name]Isla[/name]-- both under the age of five and living in [name]California[/name]. I think it is a beautiful name!

Thank you for your input - I love [name]Lorcan[/name] and [name]Greer[/name] together, but [name]Findlay[/name] is giving me similar problems to [name]Isla[/name] - too popular? I’m looking for an old-English alternative…

I’m sure you’ve heard both of these before, but do [name]Maisie[/name] or [name]Maeve[/name] interest you?

Posting from the southeastern US, I can’t say that I have ever met an [name]Isla[/name].

i’m in california and i know 1 isla, age 1ish.

I’m in [name]Texas[/name] and I know 1 [name]Isla[/name]… about 2 months old.

ayeeee sooo i am having a baby this month (boy or girl) and 3 of my favorite name [name]Isla[/name], [name]Finley[/name] and [name]Luna[/name] i have learned from this site alone are ridiculously popular theres been about 12 [name]Isla[/name] post in like the last day - i know its upseting - so yes it is becoming very popular along with any finn variation and luna

I’m in [name]Texas[/name] and know one 2 yr old [name]Isla[/name] and another one about to be born. It’s high on the trendy-meter for sure. Go with [name]Greer[/name]!!

My experience of [name]Isla[/name] personally (in Australia) is that it gets on lots of people’s shortlists but isn’t necessarily the name people go with.

[name]Isla[/name] [name]Fisher[/name] is an Australian actress and occasional mediocre author, which is my main association with the name.
