How did you pick your username?

I am interested to see how you came up with your usernames and what the story may behind your username. For example, my first name means bittersweet. My middle name means silence.

[name_f]Wanda[/name_f] is what my dad still jokes about naming me because it would pair up with our lastname to a hilarious word (like [name_m]Mike[/name_m] Rotch or [name_m]Seymour[/name_m] Buts).
But usename [name_f]Wanda[/name_f] was taken, so now I’m Wandarine which comes from a pun about wandering mandarins.

I looked around my room and saw my sister’s Super Llama plushie and decided it would be a good username. I know, I’m super creative.

It’s my go-to username now, but originally I got it from a line in a song I liked.

my username is also a line from/title of a song

This is my go-to username. In 7th grade, my best friend from dance and I started a (still somewhat ongoing) “poke” war. We said we were ninjas. My shirt that day happened to have sparkles on it so I became “Sparkle Ninja” and [name_u]Ashley[/name_u]'s had a bird on it so she became “Birdy Ninja”. I don’t know if just sparkleninja is taken but I added 18 because my birthday is [name_f]May[/name_f] 18th.

I took my first initial and the consonants out of my last name. It’s also my go-to.

It was my go-to username left over from my fanfiction accounts. Basically because [name_f]Athena[/name_f] [name_f]May[/name_f] was my favorite combo when I made a fanfiction account four years ago and because 24 is my favorite number. Now [name_f]Athena[/name_f] [name_f]May[/name_f] is no where near my favorite combo, but it’s still what I use. I liked [name_f]Athena[/name_f] because she’s my favorite goddess and represents my favorite ideas (I was also really into mythology at the time) and [name_f]May[/name_f] just sounded good, lol.

Otri is a random combination of letters that I liked the look of. It’s my go-to.

I have a melancholy temperament and I love music. I put the two words together and it sounded good to me!

I love tea, teacups, princess-y things, and tiaras! It seemed like a good combination appropriate for any kind of website, and it’s a bit reminiscent of a lifestyle blog hahaha.

I was listening to this song and thinking about armors and studying Spanish and poof! [name_u]Magic[/name_u].

[name_m]Roddy[/name_m] Thlayli is the name I use whenever I don’t want to use my real one. It’s also what I intend to use as a pseudonym if I ever publish a book (characters being the reason I look for names in the first place-- I’m not married and don’t ever intend to have children). [name_m]Roddy[/name_m] is a nickname that one of my friends and one of my cousins call me, although it has no relation to my real name except that they both begin with R. Thlayli is from Watership Down-- Bigwig was my favorite character.

I use caroblaise for a number of websites. My nickname is [name_u]Caro[/name_u] and my middle name is [name_u]Blaise[/name_u].

My username is based off a old username i had on other websites. Someone took 101

Mine is pretty simple to explain… My username is mcarolina. My name is [name_f]Carolina[/name_f] and I just threw a M in there.
It’s not my case (I don’t have any middle name; it’s just [name_f]Carolina[/name_f]), but in my country the most popular name is [name_f]Maria[/name_f] (n.1 with a huge difference from n.2) and that is mainly 'cuz lots of girls are [name_f]Maria[/name_f] [Something]. 90% of them go by their middle name, tho… but it’s tradition…
So, I like to think I put the M in there to represent my origins.

@otri Idk why but I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] your username

At the time I wanted something more sophisticated and less fangirly than my usual UltimateWholockFangirl type username (I was pretty conscious of being a teen on a baby naming site). So I went for the genus name of my favourite flower; Myosotis = Forget-Me-Nots. It’s really stuck and I’ve used it or a variation for quite a few online usernames now.

I created my account when I was like, 17 I think, and I was struggling to think of a username, but as I was thinking, I got a notification on my phone about a tweet from a band that I liked. All the members of the band had the band name ([name_m]Lawson[/name_m]) + their first names as their twitter handles (ie; LawsonAndy, LawsonAdam, LawsonRyan, LawsonJoel) and I, being the huge fangirl that I was, had a lightbulb moment and went “oooooooh! LawsonHaley!” and thus, my username was born (I’ve used the username on Twitter once (I’ve since changed it) and it’s currently my username for another social media outlet that I won’t be sharing out in the open).

Mine is the name I was called in Italian class (we all had Italian names based on our real names, though truthfully it sounds nothing like my real name) I used it here because I wanted something with no numbers or underscores and that was easy to spell and pronounce and that had a meaning to me and I love it.

My original username was ebenezer.scrouge a misspelled version of a nickname I was called by my then best friend
