For boys it is really easy for me to find new names i love. For girls it’s quite difficult for me to find new names I love.

I’m not a namenerd to ‘like’ names. I’m a namenerd to deeply love (and pretty much worship) names.
I feel this so much. it’s so much easier to fall in like (and eventually in love) with a girl’s name than a boy’s name.
finding names I like: easy. I like a lot of names.
finding names I’m willing to commit time to: harder. but not terrible.
falling in love with a name (and hanging onto that love): very, very difficult.

There are less boy names I like, so it’s easier in a way to narrow them down to a couple that I love and a few other maybes. With girl names my favourite changes every few months because I like so many!! I have about a dozen combos I would consider using, so finding a clear favourite that I can say I love is hard.

Finding a name that I like is easy, but one that I truly love is a different story. I used to have a pretty hard time finding boy names that I really liked, but now I love more boy names than girls!

I’m like a lot of other berries I like a lot of names but then I’m like do I truly love them. Also I’m very easily influenced when it comes to names I will look at some names and be like I love x then a family member will say something and I’m like yep that’s it I’m now not a lover of this name for my child. It’s annoying as I respond this way for both boys & girls. I just struggle to fully commit to a name which is why I’m surprised that I managed to name my daughter before her birth and stick with [name_f]Lilia[/name_f]!

For girls, super easy! [name_m]Just[/name_m] finding ones I’m brave enough to use is hard.
For boys…next to impossible?

Right now, I would say very hard! I feel like I’ve lucked into a solid 7 or so I truly adore (maybe as many as 10?), but I usually try to keep a top 20 and am really struggling to feel inspired. [name_f]My[/name_f] style is pretty eclectic and isn’t terribly easy to predict, le sigh. I do find a lot of names likable, but for it to be something I am willing to consider one of “my” names, it has to be really special.

It’s really hard for me to find a name that I like, for both boys and girls! I get into a mindset of “well I like this name, but I don’t know if I LOVE it, so better not add it to the list”. [name_m]Even[/name_m] the names I do have on my list, I go through phases of just liking them to being really in love. It’s hard to find a name, but once I do, it really sticks with me for a while!

It’s easy for me to like a boy name. Similar style to the girls’. Throw in names from bands and that’s a list.
But girls… complicated to explain. I like vintage and modern names but also like dated names that lie in the middle. For some reason I can’t explain, it’s easier to like girl names because the style’s very mixed.
