I really like the name Stark!
1: IronMan is amazing(:
2: It’s from [name]German[/name] descent!
3: My kid will love me for it(;
I don’t think you can.
For a lack of a better term, NB is a curated website. I don’t think you can just add a name on your own.
However, the website creators and name-guru’s [name]Pam[/name] and [name]Linda[/name] can.
If you feel a name should be added to NB you can post it here -> I’m sure they appreciate sources as well.
[name]Pam[/name] and [name]Linda[/name] will consider it as a name they missed that should be added.
FYI: Stark not actually so much a name with “from [name]German[/name] decent” as it is the [name]German[/name] word for strong which also used as a last name, though might not fulfill legal [name]German[/name]-naming criterion for a first name. (They tend to not like LN’s as FN’s).
It also means naked, and bleak.
I am quite glad users can’t add names. Otherwise we’d be in an urbandictionary type situation where the definitions are largely ridiculous. I do like the babynamewizard and behindthename model where users can leave comments. Surprisingly for the general public, nearly all of the comments are very useful.
Yes, the comments are very useful indeed!
I do understand why the information on Nameberry is not editable by the general public, but the fact is that there still many wrong information… Take “[Name]'s International Variations” as an example: the Portuguese variation (which is the one I know) is very often completely incorrect. How can I fix it? There’s no way!
