[name_m]How[/name_m] do you feel about the name [name_u]Amari[/name_u] for a baby boy and why?
It’s okay. I’m not terribly familiar with it, but I like [name_m]Amaury[/name_m] or [name_u]Amory[/name_u] more. I like [name_m]Amaury[/name_m]/[name_u]Amory[/name_u] a lot.
I did just look it up, though, and what I see so far I like a lot. I still like [name_m]Amaury[/name_m] a bit more, but [name_u]Amari[/name_u] is certainly very sweet, the meaning is lovely, and it’s an intriguing name.
Cute and fun and unique! I imagine this kid as spunky and outgoing
I dont like those spelling and that’s good to know. Tganks for that.
I dont like those spelling and that’s good to know. Thanks for that.
[name_u]Amory[/name_u] i think its pronunce different.
Hm, love the name, but something about the i ending made me at first assume it was a feminine name.
[name_m]Amaury[/name_m] reminds me of [name_u]Maury[/name_u] Povich but [name_f]Amori[/name_f] is cute.
Not a fan. An acquaintance named her daughter Amarie (same pronunciation) but everyone just calls her [name_f]Mari[/name_f] ‘maw-ree’ because no one is crazy about the name. It feels very cutesy & kiddie. Have you considered Amaru or Amaro?
I feel neutral about [name_u]Amari[/name_u].
I thought it was a girl name as well.
Thats why i dont like that spelling. Lol
I dislike this name quite a bit. It is not my style. It feels very trendy. It is a bit much for me. I also do not think it ages very well and have difficulty picturing it as fitting a wide variety of adults.
[name_m]Don[/name_m]'t like the spelling of Amarie and i will look into the others.
I thought it was a girl name as well.
Why its difficult for you to picturing it fitting wide of adults?
Its really a boy name although its unisex now.
The image I have of [name_u]Amari[/name_u] is not really a very serious one. I cannot picture a lawyer, financial adviser, teacher, etc with the name. Of course, everyone’s tastes are different, and a name will never limit a person’s ability to grow into the person they want to become.
It seems like someone’s idea of what sounds upper crust and sophisticated as opposed to actually being classy and sophisticated if that makes sense.
Again, I just wanted to share my honest thoughts about it. My dislike for the name does not reflect anything other than the name itself. Nothing personal.
[name_f]Edit[/name_f]: It sounds like exactly the kind of name my mom would love. I love my mom, but our tastes could not be more different.
I like it. It’s not my favorite, but it has a cool sound and it works for a boy.
I like it. I worked with a boy with this name, but spelled differently.
[name_m]How[/name_m] do he have it spelled?
