How do you feel about Kieran/Keiran?

[name]Keira[/name] was one of our favorite girl names, so this seemed like a shoo-in.
Can’t get my husband to commit, so I figured I’d come here for some insight/feedback.

I like it, and I think it fits in with the rise of a number of Celtic or Celtic-derivative names in the past few years. I think the [name]Kieran[/name] spelling is more intuitive, with the whole “i before e” rule in English, but that’s just me.

I agree about [name]Kieran[/name]- I would prefer that spelling as well. Funny enough, I would have gone with [name]Keira[/name] for a girl though, in fear people would pronounce [name]Kiera[/name] as Kee-er-uh instead of [name]Keer[/name]-uh.

[name]Kieran[/name] seems to have stayed steady in the 500s over the past 10 years. Of course that could change at any time, but that’s reassuring to me.

I love the name, and while I like it on a boy, I do find it slightly feminine

This is probably because in South [name]Asian[/name] culture, it is a name predominantly, if not only, given to girls

But like I said, I still think it’s a beautiful name on a boy
