So happy! I never meet people with my name, lol. In fact, I didn’t meet another person with my name until I was 16 and went off to camp in Michigan! I met two others, and even then one said it differently, and they both spelled it differently!
It’s fun to meet people with similar or same names.
I do know Margarets around my age, and younger, it’s just most of them are a fair bit older. It makes sense I guess, as it was a Top 25/Top 50 name in the 40s and 50s.
The youngest [name]Margaret[/name] I know is four, who funnily enough, I also know through church. She too wears the name well. Her mom insists she gets called [name]Margaret[/name].
I’m a [name]Maggie[/name], although I’m also a [name]Margaret[/name], if that makes sense. I’m [name]Maggie[/name] to family and friends, but I’m [name]Margaret[/name] at school and in other more ‘formal’ settings, and I always introduce myself as [name]Margaret[/name]. I expect someone to call me [name]Margaret[/name] unless I tell them they can call me [name]Maggie[/name]. Nothing bugs me more than someone shortening my name before I’ve said they could!
I have only met one other person that is [name]Josie[/name] (but not [name]Josephine[/name]). I didn’t mind it because we had a rant together about how we didn’t like our names.
