How Do You Like Auden?

Hello!

I was wondering what everyone thinks of the name [name]Auden[/name]? I absolutely adore it and was SO excited when my fiance told me that he loves it too! It has that classic, writer, new england fall sort of feel to it that I love!

Any ideas on nicknames for [name]Auden[/name]? Only one I like that comes to mind is [name]Aud[/name].

[name]How[/name] do you picture a little [name]Auden[/name]? Does anyone know any Audens? We want something unique but familiar at the same time.

Also what do you think of [name]Konrad[/name] and [name]Auden[/name] together? I love it… think [name]Rad[/name] and [name]Aud[/name] is so cute

It’s ok. It’s growing on me. I def prefer it on a boy (I have seen a few ppl ask about using it for a girl). I think it being on a boy makes me actually like it. I agree with you it has that writer, New [name]England[/name] feel, which I like. My only issue with it, it always makes me think of the word “odd.” But like I said, it’s growing on me! [name]Konrad[/name], I don’t love, I have to say, but it has a kind of coolness to it. I could totally picture [name]Gwen[/name] [name]Stefani[/name] having twin boys named [name]Auden[/name] and [name]Konrad[/name], aka [name]Aud[/name] and [name]Rad[/name]. Haha!

I like it! I think [name]Audie[/name] or Auddie would be a cute nn. I have an [name]August[/name] and we call him Auggie. We get so many compliments on his name!

I love it! I briefly considered it, but then I realized people might mistake it for [name]Autumn[/name]. It makes me think of [name]Jane[/name] [name]Austen[/name], too. [name]Love[/name] her, but with both those feminine connections, I had to cross it off my list. Wanting something very masculine, but I do think it’s a really nice name and those are just my personal hang-ups.

Thanks for the opinions! We definitley love [name]Konrad[/name], and [name]Auden[/name] is high up there too. I [name]LOVE[/name] the nickname [name]Audy[/name], it is so cute!

I defiantly love it more than all these boring names being used! I bet your a younger mama too! Grats!
And he could have the nn [name]Audi[/name] like the expensive cars, any boy would love that

ps I know it’s pronounced OW-[name]DI[/name], but I think almost everyone who isnt german says [name]Audi[/name].

It’s not bad, I prefer [name]Alden[/name] just because it rolls off the tongue better. Hard to explain, but the L in there makes the D a little easier for me to say. It may just be my [name]Texas[/name] accent though  Another nn option could be [name]Den[/name] or [name]Denny[/name]. [name]Aud[/name] sounds like odd to me, but it isn’t too bad.

I [name]LOVE[/name] it for a girl. Not sure about boy, but it’s a great name!

I like the sound of [name]Auden[/name] and I think it fits your desire for “unique but familiar.” I strongly associate it with WH [name]Auden[/name] and would probably assume that someone with a child named [name]Auden[/name] was a fan of the poet.

I love it for a girl, it’s what I am naming my daughter

[name]Love[/name] [name]Auden[/name] also like [name]Alden[/name].

love it for a boy
