I’m due with a girl in [name_f]September[/name_f] and my husband and I are having a hard time narrowing down our list of names. Curious to hear others’ perceptions of the names below (especially since we aren’t sharing any with friends/family).
If you were reviewing someone’s resume, or your cousin was telling you about their new girlfriend, how would you picture someone with her name? What would your initial assumption be (personality/job/interests/looks) for the names below? Last name is a common American/English surname ending in -son.
[name_f]Stella[/name_f] - She is very pretty, but a little bit out-there and has a hot temper
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] - Modest, family-oriented, successful
[name_f]Gillian[/name_f] - more put together than [name_f]Jillian[/name_f], but not as put together as [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]
[name_f]Liv[/name_f] - Can’t picture, I picture all of the [name_f]Olivia[/name_f]'s I know who are spunky and hard workers
[name_f]Tess[/name_f] - Is a mess
[name_u]Bryn[/name_u] - Put together, Friendly, [name_m]Calm[/name_m], Smart - nothing but good things for her
[name_u]Reese[/name_u] - a boy
[name_f]Stella[/name_f] - [name_f]Brunette[/name_f] girl who dresses in plain, thin clothing. Loves cute vintage items like teacups or antique keys. I would imagine she works in a bookstore, an antique shop or somewhere like a glass-blowing shop. That or she does what she loves for work, such as making jewellery or knitting. Cute freckley face with kind brown eyes and long, fine brown hair. Doesn’t wear much makeup.
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] - An average woman, kind of reminds me of a stock photo of a blonde woman. Maybe a real estate agent, or a banker. Thick blonde hair, blue eyes and a nice smile. I’d imagine a [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] taking interest in baking or swimming.
[name_f]Gillian[/name_f] - No comment.
[name_f]Liv[/name_f] - Popular girl at school, maybe on the cheerleading squad. Dirty-brown hair tied in a messy bun, hazel eyes, glasses, but normally wears contacts. Likes to wear the latest styles of fashion. I would think a [name_f]Liv[/name_f] would work as a Starbucks barista, lol.
[name_f]Tess[/name_f] - Same as [name_f]Liv[/name_f].
[name_u]Bryn[/name_u] - Shoulder-length brown hair and brown eyes. I’m not sure what else I can picture.
[name_u]Reese[/name_u] - All I picture is the candy, and I don’t actually like the candy. So I can’t really picture a person. Maybe a receptionist or a waitress?
[name_f]Stella[/name_f] - I imagine a girl with purple hair, maybe works in a bookstore. A cool person.
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] - Doesn’t stand out too much to me. I’d imagine a girl with brown hair that dresses neatly, and is sweet.
[name_f]Gillian[/name_f] - Similar to Caeoline
[name_f]Liv[/name_f] - I imagine a girl with blonde hair and lots of friends. Wears fashonable clothes and makeup.
[name_f]Tess[/name_f] - I know a [name_f]Tess[/name_f], so this might be a little biased. I imagine a girl with blonde hair, tomboyish style and rides skateboards. Cool.
[name_u]Bryn[/name_u] - A combonation of [name_f]Tess[/name_f] and [name_f]Liv[/name_f].
[name_u]Reese[/name_u] - I also know a [name_u]Reese[/name_u]. [name_m]Long[/name_m], brown hair, very sweet and quiet. Is friends with most people without trying.
