[name_m]ADD[/name_m]-uh-line (last syllable rhyming with “fine”)

ad-dell-line, with the last syllable rhyming with ‘mine’. Neither of the other pronunciations would surprise me, but I would always assume the last syllable rhymes with mine/vine unless told otherwise.

I’ve heard both [name_m]Add[/name_m]-uh-leen and [name_m]Add[/name_m]-uh-line. Though both are pretty, I personally tend to prefer the -leen ending because it sounds so delicate and [name_m]French[/name_m]. But I do know that the -line ending is more popular, so I tend to assume it’s -line unless otherwise specified. ([name_f]Adelyn[/name_f] is the only way to get a -lynn pronunciation for me, though.)

Either way, it’s a lovely name.

I agree with pps, I’d say add-uh-line. I think the [name_f]Adaline[/name_f] spelling makes this more instinctive.

I say the long I myself. I can also understand the long E sound, too. I don’t think the -lyn type ending works for this spelling.

My name is pronounced [name_m]Add[/name_m]-uh-leen!!! I love it!!
