How do you pronounce Amabel?

Is it Am-a-bel? Or A-may-bel?

[name]Mabel[/name] is a shortened form of [name]Amabel[/name] apparently and [name]Mabel[/name] was on our list for our Bubs due in a few weeks but it didn’t make the cut but then saw [name]Amabel[/name] today … we still haven’t ‘locked’ in the names yet as you can see!

[name]TIA[/name]

Am (as in [name]Pam[/name]) + uh + bell.

From what I understand, like [name]Annabel[/name] but with an m.

uh-[name]MAY[/name]-bel, though if I wasn’t thinking about it, probably like [name]Anabel[/name] with an M.

I pronounce it ah-muh-bell, like [name]Anabel[/name] (ahna-belle).

[name]Ah[/name]-ma-bel. [name]Ah[/name]-may-bel sounds a bit off, like you’re saying “a [name]Mabel[/name]”.

I pronounce it Am-ah-bell.

I agree with [name]Scarlet[/name] on this one.

Yes, like [name]Annabel[/name] with an m.

I say it just like [name]Annabel[/name] but with an ‘M’

the same as everyone else… [name]Anabel[/name] but with an M!

[name]How[/name] is everyone pronouncing [name]Annabel[/name] in this case? [name]Ana[/name]-bell or [name]Anna[/name]-bell?

Am-a-bel…

I live in the south and i have ALWAYS heard is aim-uh-bell. Never heard Am-uh-bell.

I’ve always pronounced it Am-a-bell, though occasionally it comes out like am-ay-ble.

I would say it like [name]Annabel[/name] with an ‘m’… Am-uh-bell. Not a fan, it just sounds like I’m saying [name]Annabel[/name] wrong.

[name]Ah[/name]-muh-bell. Not with the short A “[name]Annabel[/name]” sound, with the softer A sound. Like the difference between [name]Natalie[/name] and [name]Natalia[/name]. I prefer just [name]Mabel[/name] even though I pronounce it differently ([name]MAY[/name]-bel).
