I like this name a lot, and the way I would pronounce it is [name]Ah[/name]-ree-ella. But then I learned it was derived from [name]Ariel[/name]. Which led me to me believe it may be pronounced [name]Air[/name]-ee-ella. What do you think? [name]One[/name] of my friends named her girl [name]Ariel[/name] so if the pronunciation is that version I don’t think I would want to go with it… appreciate your help in advance!
well my sister is named [name]Arielle[/name] pronounced Are-ee-elle, so I personally pronounce [name]Ariella[/name] as are-ee-ell-uh. People mispronounce her name all the time as [name]Air[/name]-ee-ellle though so I imagine you would get some of both with either of these names. I know someone named [name]Ariel[/name] and they pronounce it more like [name]Air[/name]-ee-uhl, kind of like [name]Gabriel[/name].
I pronounce it as ah-ree-el-la. It makes more sense to me than air-ee-ella which kind of sounds a bit forced/awkward.

I think the difference between the “ah” and “air” pronunciations is going to be a regional thing. I’d expect that she’ll hear both throughout her life.
There might be a little confusion at times, but I think it’s worth it for this name! It’s very pretty. I would also pronounce it with “ah-ree-ell-a”
