How do you pronounce “[name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] “?
I’ve seen it a lot on here and i LOVE the way it is spelt. I’m just not sure if I’m saying it correctly?!

Is it

Something else ?

There are so many ways, it seems. I pronounce it uh-rell-ee-uh

^ second this!

Uh-rell-ee-uh though the first syllable is almost closer to an ‘oh’ sound but not quite if that makes sense

But I know others who pronounce it uh-reel-ee-uh and uh-rail-ee-uh so I would say it has multiple pronunciations

(Also I have a great aunt with this name who says uh-RILL-ee-uh)

Uh-ray-lee-uh, but sometimes Uh-rell-ee-uh

There’s like a million pronunciations :joy: I finally settled on uh-RELL-ee-uh because it’s the most natural for me to say.

aw-reh-lee-uh

I say au-ree-lee-uh in [name_f]English[/name_f] and ow-rell-lee-ah in Spanish.

I say it [name_u]Or[/name_u]-ray-lee-uh and that was how the one I met pronounced it too. I’ve also heard it pronounced or-ree-lee-uh too

au-ree-lee-uh

I say uh-ree-lee-yuh

I’ve met one [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] who says uh-RAY-lee-uh! But I also wouldn’t be at all surprised by uh-REEL-ee-uh, or by a variation of either of those that sounds closer to three syllables.

I gravitate more towards Ow–RELL–ee-ah, because it’s closer to the Spanish pronunciation, & I do prefer it this way. But I realize that in [name_f]English[/name_f], there is just so many ways! I guess you pick the way you like most/the one that comes more natural to you

or - ray - lee - uh

I pronounce it Aur-real-lee-uh and Au-ray-lee-uh.

Aw-reee-lee-ah
