I pr with three syllables. I think it’s prettier that way, though the Italian pronunciation with four syllables is glorious.

I love the nn [name_f]Bea[/name_f]

I say [name_f]Bee[/name_f]-uh-tris, with 3 syllables. And I’d assume that a majority or at least half and half would say it the same way, so I doubt it would be an issue, and it’s not too difficult to fix I would think. I really like [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] and love [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f], but my mum says them both with [name_f]Bee[/name_f]-AY at the beginning instead of [name_f]Bee[/name_f]-uh, so that’s something else to look out for apparently ;). But as I said, I don’t think it would be difficult to rectify; the way you say it seems to be the most common way in English speaking countries or at least the UK in my experience.

I say [name_f]Bee[/name_f]-uh-trice. I have heard the [name_f]Bee[/name_f]-trice pronunciation sometimes, but I much prefer with three syllables.

Same here! [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] with three syllables is stunning and one of my favorite names ever.

I actually have never heard anyone irl say anything other than [name_f]Bee[/name_f]-uh-tris, I didn’t realize there were other pronounciations until I got on nameberry. The three syllable way is still my favorite.

I pronounce it with 3 syllables.

I’ve never heard it with two syllables. I prefer the pronunciation [name_f]Bee[/name_f]-uh-tris.

[name_f]Bee[/name_f] uh triss

Be-uh-tris me personally.

I pronounce it [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f], more bee-uh-triss than bee-ah-triss. I can see that if you’re speaking quickly or in certain accents it would sound like bee-triss though, like it was 2 syllables or 2.5 (the middle one short/swallowed a bit).

In Australia, with our lazy way of saying things… it usually comes across as “beer-trice”. So there is a hint of the “uh” sound in the middle, but it really is only said with two syllables.

[name_f]Bee[/name_f]-uh-tris; not so much [name_f]Bee[/name_f]-[name_m]AH[/name_m]-tris, but definitely three syllables. I hear the two syllable pronunciation sometimes, but it’s typically just people speaking quickly!

I say it with 3 syllables, but kind of quickly so the middle syllable is really just barely said, if that makes sense. I think that might be why some people think is is 2 and some think it is 3. If you’re really annunciating, it is clearly 3, but if you say it kind of quickly it can sound like 2.
