Mahalia [name_f]Posie[/name_f]-[name_u]Rayne[/name_u] is nice, but to me, [name_f]Posie[/name_f] [name_u]Rayne[/name_u] together with that spelling is really attached to the LaBrant family

I’ve only ever heard it pronounced Mah-HAY-lee-ah too, and I’m in the US, but have lived in different [name_u]South[/name_u] American countries. [name_f]Mahalia[/name_f] [name_u]Jackson[/name_u], the most famous [name_f]Mahalia[/name_f] that I know is Mah-HAY-lee-ah. I wouldn’t use [name_f]Posie[/name_f]-[name_u]Rayne[/name_u] either. [name_f]Mahalia[/name_f] [name_u]Rayne[/name_u] is pretty.
