The name [name_u]Kieran[/name_u] is on our list and it’s growing on me. The only thing holding me back is I’ve seen so many pronunciations for it. I’m just curious if everyone else instinctively pronounces it how we would like it to be. [name_m]How[/name_m] do you personally pronounce [name_u]Kieran[/name_u]? Thanks
I have only known one pronunciation, keer-an.
I prefer the traditional spelling: [name_m]Ciaran[/name_m], which is pronounced the same, to my knowledge.
I’ve only heard it one way, and that’s keer-an. It’s an adorable name.
[name_u]Kieran[/name_u] is a very handsome name.
Thanks everyone [name_m]Keer[/name_m]-an is how we say it too but when I was googling I was getting worried because people were saying other things. I like the [name_m]Ciaran[/name_m] spelling too but living in the US, it would be butchered spelled that way and he’d spend his whole life correcting people
My middle name. Pronounced [name_m]Keer[/name_m]-ran
[name_m]Keer[/name_m]-an. [name_u]Haven[/name_u]'t heard it any other way.
I pronounce it like [name_m]KEER[/name_m]-en (more “en” than “an” for the second syllable). Not that I think there’s any really difference…
