how do you pronounce lumina? just wondering
is it lOO-min-uh or loo-MEE-na? if it was loo-MEE-nuh how would you spell it so it would be LOO-min-uh?
for lycia is it lee-shuh, lye-shuh or li-see-uh?

i say it loo-MEE-na. i’m not sure how to spell it to get the pronunciation LOO-min-uh… luminna? if it’s your own name, you could always just spell it as lumina and then pronounce it like LOO-min-uh and correct people when needed
i would say lycia as LIE-see-uh. i just checked btn and it says lie-SEE-uh
I pronounce [name_f]Lumina[/name_f], loo-MEE-nuh, and Lycia, LIE-see-uh
I also would say them loo-MEE-nuh and LIE-see-uh
Another vote for loo-MEEN-uh and LIE-see-uh!
I’d probably instinctively same Loo-mee-nuh. Luminna would be loo-min-uh for me.
Lycia would be lis-ee-uh for me, but lee-shuh wouldn’t surprise me
Luminna.
Lie-see-ah.
Lum-eena, because Lumi (‘snow’) has a short ‘u’ sound (and a short ‘i’ that sounds between i and e as in ‘mean’) in Finnish/ Estonian. I’m not a fan of Loomeena in general, to me it’s giving Loomi-Moomi (Moomins).
Lycia, I’m thinking an emphasis on ‘i’
I’d instinctively say LOO-minn-uh, ooh I’m surprised that most people have said differently! Maybe it’s because it reminds me of luminous, luminary which have the emphasis on the first syllable? [name_u]Or[/name_u] [name_f]Luminara[/name_f] from [name_f]Star[/name_f] Wars! (LOO-minn-AR-uh)
Lycia I’m unsure…I pronounce [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] as loo-CHEE-uh so I guess lye-CHEE-uh, but my brain also wants to say it lye-see-uh
I pronounce it Loo-mi-nuh, growing up my parents had a car the Chevrolet [name_f]Lumina[/name_f] and it was pronounced that way.
i’d say LOO-min-uh and LEE-see-uh
Loo-meen-uh or lumin-uh for [name_f]Lumina[/name_f] (interchangeably)
And lie-see-uh for Lycia
loo-MEE-na and lie-SEE-a
loo-MEE-na and LEE-cee-uh
I would spell it Luminna or would find a longer name that naturally put the emphasis on that syllable, such as Ilumina or Iluminna, which I would both pronounce as ih-LOO-mih-na.
I say loo-MEE-nah, but I wouldn’t recommend another spelling for LOO-min-uh. I find it more annoying having to correct the spelling of my name than just the pronunciation.
Lysia is LEE-see-uh!
I say Loo-mee-nah. Pronouncing it Loo-min-uh would make it Luminna for me.
As for Lycia I would say Lee-see-uh but in [name_f]English[/name_f] I’d probably say Ly-see-uh.
LOO-mee-na and LYE-see-uh
[name_f]My[/name_f] first guess at both of these would be loo-MEE-nuh and LEE-see-uh
