Anyone know how to pronounce Hawaiian names?
I have never seen this name before, but I used to live in [name]Hawaii[/name]. Not 100% on this, but I think it is either pronounced like the original pronunciation of [name]Maeve[/name] (in the Hawaiian language ‘w’ is pronounced like ‘v’; [name]Ewa[/name] is pronounced eh-vuh) or possibly ma-ev-eh/ay (in the language ‘ma’ is pronounced with a long ‘a’ sound, then ‘ew’ is ‘ev’ and a single ‘e’ is pronounced like the American pronunciation of ‘a’). Like I said though, not 100% if either of these are correct.
