I always thought it was Peht-rah, which would be pretty close to the way you usually say it. That doesn’t mean I’m right though!

Maybe Dantea can help, as it’s a Greek name.

It’s PEH-tra.

I’ve always said it PEH-tra but I knew someone who named her baby this and pronounced it PAY-tra.

I pronounce it PEHT-rə.

I can see where some would get pee-trah since [name_m]Peter[/name_m] is said with the “ee” sound generally, but I say [name_f]Petra[/name_f] like peh-trah.

I say PEH-tra, the way tennis player [name_f]Petra[/name_f] Kvitova says it.

Peh-tra is how I pronounce it.

My best friend’s name is [name_f]Petra[/name_f] (peh-tra), I’ve never heard it pronounced Pee-tra!

I actually think Peetra could be usable (spelled like this) thanks to the Hunger Games. If you want people to say Peetra, spell it Peetra.
