How do you pronounce this?

Elidad or Elydad (a Hebrew girl’s name meaning “loved by God”)

I would guess either “[name]Eli[/name]-dad” or “[name]Ellie[/name]-dad”. With my lazy American accent, I would probably mute the “dad” part into “ded” so it’s not as emphasized. So it would sound more like “[name]Eli[/name]-ded” or “[name]Ellie[/name]-ded” to me. (Similar to the word “delighted”, substituting a d for the t.)

I’d say [name]ELL[/name]-ee-dahd or ell-ee-dahd, but I’m just guessing, I don’t know what’s actually correct.

That’s what I would say, too.

Thank you!
