[name]How[/name] do you pronounce…
[name]Bryony[/name]
[name]Malachy[/name]
[name]Declan[/name]
???
To my knowledge…
[name]Bri[/name]-oh-knee
[name]Mal[/name]-ah-cai
Deck-lan
Hey i think [name]Bryony[/name] is pronounced [name]Bryan[/name]-ee and I have a cousin called [name]Malachy[/name] and we pronounce it Malack-key
See [name]Bryony[/name] is interesting to me and I have heard it is used widely in the UK but here in the US the name is virtually unknown.
I think I like it if the O is emphasized like [name]Bree[/name]-O-nee
But if it is BRY-an-ee or BRY-nee, it wouldn’t use it.
[name]Bryony[/name] - [name]Bri[/name]-oh-nee, but there is no emphasis on the ‘oh’, so it is more like [name]Bryan[/name]-ee
[name]Malachy[/name] - mal-ack-ee, I believe (and [name]Malachi[/name] is mal-ack-eye)
[name]Declan[/name] - deck-lan.
I hope this helped!
One more…
I am getting interested in the name [name]Aveline[/name].
Is it pronounced
Ay-veh-line(I kind of like the line ending cuz it sounds like [name]Caroline[/name] which I love)
or
A-veh-leen
or
some other combo
???
I’m afraid she would be forever correcting everyone on the pronunciation.
I would say ay-veh-leen or a-veh-leen, but I am British and over here we pronounce [name]Clementine[/name] clem-ent-een rather than clem-ent-ine, so it could well be different in the US …
