I’d probably pronounce it like the word merit but my first instinct was that it was Spanish, and if so I’d pronounce it meh-ray-tay or something like that.

Merete… I have never heard it or seen it, but my gut would say to pronounce it like Mir-EET (Mer, like the beginning of Mercury and ete like the ending of Crete). I am from [name]Texas[/name]. Now, accents would change that.

It is a danish name by the way and I think danish people would pronounce it like “Me-ray-teh”
